Everything is worth trying...the olive breads are to die for.....take some home..great coffee. Always over-crowded.

I went here upon recommendation of tripadvisor. I couldn't pass up the peanut butter and jam sandwich and chocolate almond pastry.

They pre-make the sandwiches and the jam had made the bread soggy so it wasn't that great. The pastry, although huge, didn't taste very good in my opinion.

The cider was very good.

I will be back to sample the other items but my expectations have been lowered.

This is definitely not the corner coffee shop. You feel relaxed while enjoying a special brew of your favorite tea or coffee. The pastries are appetizing but a bit high priced for what you get. Nice break from the everyday!

Seven Stars excel at baking across the board. They don't just make great bread, and so-so pastry. They make outstanding breads, pastries, sandwiches, everything. The raisin brioche is soft, tender, sweet. The croissant and puff pastry items are just liking eating in France. The pain de mie - simply wonderful. Truly master crafters. The coffee is not to my liking, too dark and too bitter. I can't eat seeds so a variety of jam would be good instead of just strawberry. Also, the counter line and service area should be rethought. But these are minor items compared to the overall experience.

Breakfast or lunch is just a little sweeter at Seven Stars. Both Hope St and Federal Hill locations are very good.
