“Excellent Museum”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Worth making the stop in Providence to see this wonderful museum. They have a wide ranging collection and more than you can see in an afternoon. We especially enjoyed their modern art collection with many pieces representing a wide range of well-known and lesser-known artists. We are looking forward to returning and see the rest of the collection. After visiting the museum head over to Federal Hill for italian food.

“Lots to See, Lots of Variety”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

We spent a wonderful long afternoon strolling through the Museum. The exhibits range from modern art and furniture to 19th century Impressionists and beyond. it was a little difficult to navigate through the Museum ,even with their map, but that added to the charm of turning a corner and seeing something interesting and even arresting.

“nice museum in RI”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

This is a little gem in the city. It is not what you expect for Providence and is nice to visit when you have a few hours of free time. I will definitely bring out of town guests here.

“A pleasant surprise”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I was expecting a little museum but i was surprised at how much i saw in there! The paintings were wonderful! When we visited, the egyptian exhibit was closed temporarily, which i really wanted to see, but it was ok because there were a lot of other things to see. I enjoyed the special exhibit, the "faculty art exhibit", interesting.
Students with ID are free, adults are $12.00, very worth it!
