“nice quiet get away.”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

This is a very nice quiet place to relax and get away. We got a balcony room. The view was spectacular and accommodations were great. Could have had more choices for breakfast. We hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Easy to get to. Staff was helpful

Stayed here about 4/5 times over the last 25 years and found the place to be always first rate. Clean, comfortable and a good staff. Good choice of rooms. Breakfast was good, typical Comfort Inn fare but homey. Had a room with a balcony which was nice. Good location just east of Estes Park but within 2 miles of everything.

After searching reviews on Trip Advisor, we chose this hotel because of the positive ratings. We were a bit concerned when we first pulled up to the hotel (it is older), but were delighted to find a spotless room. We had been on the road for a three-week trip and this was the cleanest place we stayed! Breakfast was great. The staff was ready with suggestions and advice for our stay. I would recommend getting one of the rear rooms with a balcony...the elk came through early in the morning. It was the best entertainment we could have found in October. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Choose one of the upper rear rooms with a balcony overlooking the mountains and next to the field if...

We LOVED our stay in Estes Park and can't wait to return. The hotel is a little older, but the rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very helpful in many ways. Breakfast was good. Would recommend to all!

First of all, many thanks to DANIEL and the manager for allowing us to book our reservations separately due to a change of travel dates. We only had one complaint during our stay and it was at check-in. The senior citizen lady was working the desk by herself and while checking us in she walked away to answer the phone and proceeded to take reservations from the caller instead of putting them on hold. The caller had question after question leaving us standing there. Daniel walked in and took over and at 1:30pm let us have our room when the lady told us we had to wait to 3pm! Clear sailing from there on in. Our Rm. 103 in the main bldg. was ENORMOUS and spotless! There were 2 bottles of water and cookies waiting for us in recognition of our Choice Privilege Members. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and I noticed they send their linens out to be laundered! You need to leave the lights on in the bathroom and lavatory area and they will brighten up so don't freak out. Not a lot of t.v. channels to choose from, but a nice flat screen t.v. Breakfast choices were cinnamon waffles, scrambled eggs, link sausages, cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, beverages. Hotel also has cookies in the afternoon. Unless you are in tip top shape this hotel would be a little too far to walk to the little town of Estes, but we loved its location and will definitely return.

Our 2nd night was Rm. 446 in one of the separate bldgs. and it was spotless, but older. We had a balcony which was nice for watching the elk in the yard next morning. While definitely an older building it was also spotless. The bathroom was very tiny (as opposed to Rm. 103), but had good shower spray. Mattresses and bed linens wonderful! Perhaps newer towels in this area would be a nice upgrade.

We will request the main building when we return to this wonderful hotel with excellent staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building. You will see plenty of elk in the RMNP so forego watching them...

In Estes Park for just one afternoon and night, we wanted just the right place. We always choose 2 or 3 and check them out. Comfort Inn was by far the best value. Ask for one of the rooms in back with a balcony - they are smaller but very clean - and some evenings and early mornings the elk wander through. The front desk person showed me the room graciously. Breakfast was also great. What a find!

This is a very nice hotel in Estes Park. Large well appointed rooms, with a detail for service. Personalized welcome note from the General manager. Very good breakfast with a variety of choices. You can tell that the employees take great pride in their facility. We were on our way home from here, however we would love to come back & stay a few days.
