This was a great place to stay while visiting Estes Park. Close to downtown. Within walking distance to dining and shopping. Only short drive to RMNP! The room we had was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The employees and managers of the property were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was well stocked with everything we needed to start our day. I stayed here with my husband and 12 year old daughter and we wished we could have stayed longer. When we returned from sight seeing each night our daughter swam in the indoor pool. I would definitely stay at Murphys River Lodge again. My husband and I saw a huge Elk resting under a pine tree about 1 block up the street on our early morning walk.

We made a last minute trip to Estes without reservations and were treated to a wonderful experience at Murphy's resort. My name is Murphy and we were driving up Fall River Rd when we spot Murphy's resort...of course we had to stop and see what was available. What we found were great accommodations, friendly staff and good value!! Our room was right on the river, the beds are great, the facility is clean and modern, the continental breakfast (more continental plus extras) is actually really good and a great location; a few miles up the road is RMNP or a quick trolley ride to town (2 minutes).

Give this place your business!!

Room Tip: rooms on the north side of the complex open to the river..

First, yes we would return.
The place is well located, extremely clean and the staff, particularly Jeanette (sp?) is friendly, & efficient. It is two blocks from town, 4 miles from the entrance to Rocky Mt. Natl. Park, and the Estes Park River Walk is behind the hotel on the other side of the river.Had a nice, clean, river view room, worth it! While it is not a luxury place like big city locales, it deserves, at least 4 stars for comparable properties in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for corner room 106

Nice location, staff was friendly. Our coffee pot was very loud and slow, the house cleaner didn't leave cups or toilet paper. House keeping accidently picked up swim suit and we asked at the desk if they had found it they did a quick look and said no but would look again in the morning. On our way home they left a message saying they had found it. Wee called and they said they would send it. We have to pay shipping. Which was very disappointing because we paid over 200$ a night for 5 nights and WE didn't lose the suit, it was picked up by the housekeeper. You would think they would at least send it free. oh well. I would stay again in a pinch, but better options out there.

Murphy's River Lodge is a great place to stay in Estes. The rooms are updated and clean with a great view of the river only steps away. They have a great pool and hot tub area and lodge room above it with plenty to keep you busy. It is 2 blocks away from the north end of Downtown Estes (Elkhorn Ave) so you can walk with no worry about finding parking. I have nothing but praise for this location and will definitely stay here again.
