“History of a great hotel”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

The ghost thing is overrated as far as we're concerned, and it's no doubt a money maker for a hotel that wasn't profitable until the mid-1990s. But after seeing this hotel from a distance during many childhood years of camping and visiting Estes Park it was great to tour the hotel property and learn more about its interesting past. Rob was a fun guide.

“Very interesting and enjoyable”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

The tour guide that my family and I had on our historical/ghost tour was very friendly, knowledgable, and had a good sense of humor. I think the kind of experience you have during the Stanley's tour depends a lot on the tour guide you get--it's kind of a luck of the draw sort of thing. The tour is limited, though--like a lot of people, I was hoping to get to see a lot more of the Stanley than we actually did. Overall, though, it was affordable fun and quite interesting. I love the feel of the Stanley and the gorgeous rooms and views. We'll be visiting again this May!

“Very entertaining!”

I had planned to attend this tour for months. I was sooo excited and it was worth the wait. Very cool historical view, along with other ghostly tales. Our tour guide Ryan was knowledgeable and had humor!

“Interesting”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

We went on the tour of the Stanley Hotel and were not disappointed! Our tour guide told us he was new, but was so funny and seemed to know so much about the hotel it was a ball. The hotel itself is beautiful nestled in the Rockies. Our fifteen year old son was excited about the tour and he was not disappointed. It was one of the highlights of our vacation!

“Lots of fun and keeps your attention!”
Reviewed September 20, 2012 via mobile

We took the ghosts & history 90 minute tour at the Stanley and had a ball! Both of our kids were so attentive ~ especially at the ghost parts. It's a great old building with lots of history and para abnormal reports. Our tour guide was very into the history and sharing the ghost stories with us. It was a lot of fun ~ whether you believe in that kind of thing or not!
