We stayed in Unit 3 which is connected to the main office, on the main floor and there is a unit above. The unit was nice inside but the main problem was the noise. You can hear every single noise of the person walking above us. The other problem was there was noisy partiers at night slamming doors, screaming profanity, etc. I did complain to the front desk immediately Saturday morning of the issue and Sat night was alot better. The main problem of this unit is that its an old building so you can hear every peep from the people above you. Otherwise, the unit inside is very clean and homey. Just wish it wasnt so noisy. I would prefer to stay in a unit that is not attached. You get your own personal hot tub at this place so its nice. Pretty good stay, but the people at the property should really stress to the people staying above how noisy it is for unit #3!

We wanted a quiet, relaxed & inexpensive place to spend a few days near the Rocky Mt National Park in Estes Park, and we found it at the Timber Creek Chalets. The location was perfect as we were outside of the hustle and bustle of the noisy downtown area yet close enough to get to places of interest, restaurants and shopping. We stayed in Unit 5, the smallest of all the units. While this room was small, it had all the things we needed including a small refrigerator, microwave, full sized coffee pot, King bed, an outdoor gas grill and patio set and free wi-fi. The feel of privacy was accentuated by the high wood fence separators so you didn't feel like you were bothering the neighbors. This is a good room to stay in the summer and nice weather but I wouldn't recommend it for the cooler seasons as there was no fireplace or inside sitting area, only a small table and chair set. I would recommend a larger unit that offers these amenities.
We could hear the river across the street which was nice at night. During the day the traffic is heavy because it is one of the two roads into RMNP, but the bus/shuttle is right in front of the premises, a great plus if you didn't want to drive around Estes. The mountain atmosphere is wonderful there and owners make it clear that quiet hours are important. There were lots of people there and they welcome pets. While many of the largest units have their own hot tubes, there was a public one just a few steps from our unit as was there a small, but nice heated pool outside to relax you weary muscles after a long day in the park. While we have stayed at more luxurious places in Estes, the Timber Creek fulfilled our needs for a nice place , great value, and super location for our 3 night stay.

This was the second time we stayed at a property run by this company. Two years previously we stayed at a two bedroom condo and found it completely acceptable. Since our family has grown, we decided to rent a "3" bedroom home called Stonehaven. It was advertised as having two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. What they failed to mention was that the downstairs was actually a basement. It was cold, damp, incredibly dark, and smelled musty. It was like trying to sleep in a meat locker. After 1 night down there we abandoned the basement and all crowded into the two bedrooms in the main level of the house. In addition, it looked like the downstairs had been remodeled by Larry, Moe, and Curly. If you're more than 5 feet 10 inches tall you will need to bend down in order to use the shower in the basement. In fairness to the company, they did try to make what looked like a 60 year old hours presentable. There were nice furnishings. However, even if you put lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig. I definitely would NOT stay at this pig again.

We appreciate this guest’s comments and we regret this guest had a less than satisfactory experience. The lower level of the Stonehaven House has been remodeled with modern furnishings and a king-size pillowtop bed but retains the original, charming construction of this classic stone house. Yes, the lower-level bathroom is small and we apologize that this was an inconvenience. Please try one of our modern vacation homes next time!

our family/group of 7 (ages 5-43)stayed at Timber Creek Chalets -- specifically in unit 8 which sleeps 8 people. Here are the big pros: modern, clean, well equipped, awesome location to RMNPark, nice hot tub, Fabulous climbing mountain right outside the back door and great staff.

Here were the cons: we had a plumbing issue twice in the same bathroom. the rustic furniture was too big for the space and it felt cramped, and we could not figure out how it was supposed to sleep 8 people as the couch didnt look to be a futon and was uncomfortable.

The staff was awesome, especially the first late night maintenance guy who so politely helped with the plumbing issues. Our family LOVED estes park and the cabin was quite agreeable. Just a few little tweaks and it would be perfect. BUT -- the trip was not about the cabin -- it was about colorado & the park. AWESOME.

Just spent 4 nights @ Timber Creek with friends. We had a great stay in Chalet #3. The two bedroom chalet had been recently updated. There were two double beds- very comfortable. The place was super comfortable and we had various wildlife walk right up- an eld, a coyote and a squirrel on the patio. I liked that the place was outside of town- right between RMNP and downtown Estes. Very easy to get around. It was nice being able to cook as well but Safeway is expensive- get a club card @ customer service when you first get there to cut down the cost. You can also save some money on gas if you spend enough. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Mountain Laurel with my kids. Loved this place. The beds are comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, the bedding was soft and the towels were large and plentiful. The staff was very helpful. It snowed while we were there and the staff was out shoveling snow from the hot tub first thing in the morning. This was a very comfortable place to stay. The only possible negative is that the wood provided did not burn very well, causing the fireplace to smoke a lot. But, it may well have been operator error, lol. I would certainly recommend staying here.
