The hiking was exhilarating with God's magnificent artistry and the expertise of our guide Kent. We learned how to fly cast and we caught many beautiful Greenback Cutthroat Troat. The shore lunch was delicious too!

My husband and two older sons, ages 13 and 11, did a 4 hour guided tour and had one of the best days of their lives, according to the boys! The scenery was breathtaking and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They caught 16 trout between the 3 of them. All the gear was provided and the staff at Kirk's couldn't have been nicer. We will definitely go again on our next trip to Colorado!

We went out fly fishing with a guide and none of us had ever been before. They recommended we go to private water (more expensive) and it was totally worth it. We had a blast, everyone caught fish and the guides were super nice and knowledgeable. We were matched up with Brad and Matt as guides...both were awesome.

We did the four hour outing and I can't imagine being out there any longer...especially as newbies. We had a great time, but four hours was plenty. The shop has lots of fun souvineers, too. Two thumbs up!

We wanted a guided family hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and I am so glad we found Kirk's! We were camping with a big RV and did not want to be driving it too high up in the park. Our guide, Marlene, picked us up at our campground and our family adventure began! We have 3 small kids (5, 8, 10) and were able to complete a 5 hour hike to Cub Lake. Marlene was exceptional. Not only did she know details and names for every plant, meadow, mountain and animal, she was also great at keeping the kids engaged. It is difficult to get children this age not to complain about a strenuous hike. She knew exactly when to distract them and how to keep them motivated. We saw elk, deer, marmot, and the best was the moose with 2 calves playing in the lake. It is an experience we will never forget.

Our Guide, Jay, was great, knowledgable, and personalble. He made my wife and I feel like we knew him for years and he put us on fish based on our individual fly fishing skill levels. I would highly reccommend Jay and Kirks Fly Shop to anyone visiting Estes Park, Colorado or the surrounding Rocky Mountain National Park area.
