We landed here after being displaced by the historic flood. The good: we parked for a few days at a Denver Marriott to wait out FEMA. Then started calling lodges, cabins, seeing who was open. Jim was the first guy to call back, from Valhalla. He emailed me directions, open restaurants, etc. if he isn't the owner he certainly will own one in the future. Sharp guy. My other comments would be this property has good views. Some describe it as rustic, I'd say it's dated. We stayed in cabin 19. Fenced back yard, and a killer wood burning fireplace. King bed very comfortable. Elk bugling 40 feet away. It's an 8.5 inside. If I owned Valhalla I'd go thru each cabin and update them, pave the roads, do some rocky Mtn landscaping. But they are clean, it is Estes Park, you are 5 minutes from RMNP, and if you get Jim on the phone, you can take what he says to the bank.
