Staying at Valhalla while in Estes Park is the absolute BEST of both worlds! My wife and I stay at Valhalla a couple times per year when we visit Colorado, and simply can't allow ourselves to choose anywhere else. We have stayed in their smaller, cozy cabins such as #19 for romantic getaways - as well as group vacations in their larger homes/cabins. Both are extremely attractive to stay in, well kept and cleaned, with very nice decor, furnishings, appliances and accessories that make you truly feel at home.

And the location... WOW. There seems to be nothing but amazing views due to the location of Valhalla being located walking distance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and up higher on the hill. This gives breathtaking views all around the resort. Being just a couple of driving minutes away from the beautiful town of Estes Park is efficient, while having the feeling of being out in nature is why it has been perfect for our family and friends.

The wildlife is SPECTACULAR at Valhalla. Every single time we have stayed - we have seen a huge amount of Elk and deer walking all around the cabins! Can I just say that sipping morning coffee with 30 Elk outside your front porch is a truly rewarding experience for people outside of Colorado!

The owners are more than accommodating in every way, and extremely friendly and personable. There are so many reasons Valhalla is our home away from home in the glorious scenic mountains of Colorado. You have to experience it for yourself.

We were looking for that quiet mountain retreat to get away from it all. We found it at Valhalla Resort. We stayed at cabin #27. A large accomodation complete with all the amenities, including the hot tub on the deck and a gas infrared grill. A nice touch! We loved the mountain scenery at the edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park. In the evening we watched as the mule deer came right through the property. I got some great photos!! We were impressed with the accomodations, complete with wifi. A very clean resort with very helpful staff! Still close enough to head into Estes Park for some dining, shopping, and sight seeing. We live in the Denver area and love to visit the Estes Park area. Definitely our special weekend getaway place. We are already looking toward our next stay at Valhalla Resort! Thanks for such memoral moments!

We have stayed almost exclusively over the years at Valhalla. We live close, within an hour so it's our quik getaway place.
Cabins are spread out thru the pines and none are too far from the semi private Hot tub -semi private- due to it being on a deck at the Office cabin but it is private enough at night. We would usually go in winter mid week when it is quieter. Most cabins have either fireplace or wood stove and knotty pine interiors.
Other area condos and cabins are stacked up against each other and can be too close to commercial buildings etc near Estes. But If your are looking for a true Rocky mtn setting and still not be too far from town (10 min drive) or just minuted from RMNP, Valhalla is the place.
It will always be our 'go-to' place and our first choice referral for our out of town
visitors.

Room Tip: Look thru their website, they are lotsa photos of all their cabins and homes for rent.

Very close to Estes and RMNP. We stayed in #27....mostly secluded with just one house behind the property and two car garage buffer so you really only see it when coming and going and other than that, it has a feel of isolation as there are no other cabins/houses between the highway and the property. The view of the mountains are a bit obscured as they really don't open up from this vantage point, the majority of the scenery are of immediate hill across the highway.

This is not a cabin, it is a house managed by Valhalla that is next to the resort. That being said, this place is super clean and all furnishings are very comfortable and there is some natural wood paneling in the living and dining room. The master has a very comfortable king with nice sheets and pillows. I am picky about bed and linens and can attest to the quality. A lot of room in this house, particularly if you are renting all the rooms. We got a couple's rate and only needed the master, but the layout is nice either way, good size kitchen (very good cook and glassware), huge dining room with attached living room. The living room furniture is updated from the picture, they now have nice brown fabric style love seat and couch and shag carpet. TV's are old tube with pretty bad color (hard to go back from HD) but not a big deal really as only lounged later at night anyway. Would have liked to hook up my playstation 3 for netflix viewing, so if you want the option for gaming, bring your old Atari!

Overall, very pleased with this house and would have no problem recommending #27.

We have been staying at Valhalla during our annual visit to RMNP for many years. The cabins are very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great. It is very close to the Park's Beaver Meadows entrance station and is also close to downtown Estes. But at the same time it is secluded and quiet. The stars are so bright since there are no city lights to pollute the sky. The owners of the resort are very friendly and always make sure we have all we need and are comfortable during our stay. We love Valhalla and will continue to stay there each time we visit beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.

Stayed in cabin #10 and it was comfortable and clean. New gas grills outside are a plus. Wi-fi reception was good. Some ceilings are a little low - ask about that if you're over 6'6". Pool and Laundry area close in the fall, which didn't matter for us.

We have stayed here many times. We stayed in cabin #7 for the first time and loved it. It was very comfortable and clean. They rates are very fair for the area. Well located. Great kitchens for dining in. Great because on the weekends the restaurants in town can get very busy. We will continue to stay at Valhalla because it is so comfortable. They have wi-fi on site.
Beds are a little too firm for us but we overlook it.
