We stayed the last week of May in Cabin #16 with the hot tub on the deck! The cabin was big, comfortable, clean and a great hot tub! The view of the mountains was amazing, too. We also liked that Valhalla is off the main road, so it is very peaceful. we loved it so much, that we stayed an extra nite! We had to move to cabin #3 without a hot tub, but it was still plenty big. The kitchens are very nice also, and we loved the deck! I highly recommend this resort and plan on returning soon!!

We (2 adults) stayed in cabin #1 during the off-season (just before Memorial Day weekend), and it was just what we were looking for. If you are looking for something fancy, roomy, or more hotel-like, you will not be happy, but for us, it was perfect. It was a clean and comfortable place to rest at night between our days hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park (which is just minutes away). The bedrooms were quite small, but the beds (one double bed in each room) were comfortable. The living room was slightly roomier, and the sofa was plush and comfortable. There was also a t.v. (with cable & dvd player), which we used very little. We did take advantage of the free wi-fi, which worked quite well. The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs; we cooked breakfast there each morning and packed sack lunches to eat on our hikes. In the evenings we drove into town (also just minutes away) to eat at one of the many restaurants there. The only downsides were that the cabins were closely spaced, and there was not much of a view, but as I said, we spent most of our time hiking where we had plenty of space and beautiful views!

This was our first time staying in a wooden cabin. We had good experience with Valhalla Resort. We rent a two-bedroom cabin (#12) for three nights. Because it was still off season, we got third night free. The staff was nice. The cabin was clean with a fully equipped kitchen, so we can cook for breakfast and dinner. There were totally four beds in two bedrooms, which was nice especially for our two young kids (1 & 3 years old). They cleaned the trash cans and replaced towels everyday. The speed of the wireless internet was very fluent. During our stay, it was snowing for a day and cold outside every night. But the air heater and the hot water were very sufficient. We didn't use the fireplace because of the young kids. There were also outdoor swimming pool and kid's playground outside. We will be happy to visit again.

This year was the 5th time we stayed at the resort . I would recommend it to anyone who stays in the estes park area. We have been in 5 different cabins and each one has been comfortable & clean with all the comforts of home. The cabins we stayed in had stove , refridgerators, and the cupboards were stocked with pots and pans ,plates cups, utensils etc...all you need to bring is the food... They all also had decks with grills... fireplaces... Tv with cable .. My favorite this year was the wirless internet service , it worked better then the service in most motels we have stayed in... The service has always been wonderful and I would recomend it to anyone who like to enjoy more then just a stuffy motel room...

My family of 4 stayed in cabin 27 over the mothers day weekend and it was great! We have a 1yr old and an almost 5yr old and they absolutely loved it. With this cabin theres a 6 person hot tub too. It has a fully stocked kitchen (you have to wash your own dishes due to them not having maid service which works out just fine because there is a dishwasher in this cabin.) There's also a bbq. The deck is huge and the view is absolutely amazing. There's a river down the hill within walking distance. They have a portable crib for any babys and one of those restaurant high chairs. There's also a pool with a mini golf area next to it. There are other houses where people live close by all the cabins but because of the direction cabin 27 is faced, it still feels very private. There are no houses close by that can see into this cabin. The floorplan is very open and allows 8-10 people to sleep there. This is a great location for large get togethers. There is enough silverware, dishes, cups, glasses, wine glasses and cookware for a very large group. LOTS of windows. The staff kept the place very clean and emptied our trash everyday. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths here. The furniture it well kept and taken care of. The staff is very friendly too. They have a decent collection of dvd's that can be rented for free. All in all I would definitely go back especially for a large get together. Great location, great view, great cabin.

This was our first stay at Valhalla and I would return again. We stayed off season, April, so the rates were very reasonable. It was 5 minutes from the RMNP visitor Center. Clean cabins, hot water, full kitchen with all the utensils, dishes, and pots and pans you would ever need. They also had a grill on the deck with charcoal. The TV is old and basic, but it works. The cabins were failry close together and the furnace blower was a little noisy, but it was plenty warm inside. FIreplace. The staff were friendly. We had fun playing ping pong in their rec center. Thanks, Valhalla.

Our little family had a wonderful time staying at Valhalla. My husband and I stayed with them 18 years ago on our honeymoon & had a wonderful experience- so we brought our 3 girls with us this time.
Good location- close (but not too close) to downtown Estes and Rocky Mt Nat Park. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and functional- in April it was plenty warm inside and we warmed up more (and dried off) with the gas fireplace after hiking in RMNP in the snow. Clean well-maintained hot tub! :) Plenty of room outside for the girls to run and enjoy the snow. We would have been thrilled to be snowed in and stay longer! :)

Room Tip: ck web site for specials-we got 3 nights for 2
