We found Black Canyon Inn by searching outdoor wedding venues and scrolling through photos on the internet. The minute I showed my groom the photos of the outdoor pavilion and the mountain ridge, we knew we had to see the place in person. We scheduled an appointment with Sara and it was even better than the pictures! Sara was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end and was very helpful through the process. The cost of the facility is very reasonable for the surroundings. Sara was there with tissues (for me) and blankets (for our guests) at our small wedding on May 17, 2015 where it was a little cooler than normal. We even had a young bull elk wandering around the property during our photos. A fun little secret...the Stanley Hotel is a quick 10 minute walk over a small ridge, where we enjoyed aged whiskey at the Whiskey Bar after our reception at Twin Owls Steakhouse.

Room Tip: The H building is the newest building on property, and has the most modern finishes.

Black Canyon Inn offers multi-bedrrom condos, which are privately owned but run like a resort. We were in lovely F4, which was on 2 levels with 2 bedrooms, laundry room & a full bathroom on the bottom level + porch, living room (with pull out coach), dining area, kitchen, master bedroom & bath on the upper level. The condo was fully furnished, including linens, dishes, soaps, paper towels, kleenex, salt & pepper, a pound of coffee & sugar packets. All we needed was food, drinks & laundry detergent. There is a nearby Safeway in Estes Park where grocery shoppong is easily done. The Inn is located within a mile or so of Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park's (RMNP) Lumpy Ridge Trail Head (among other hiking spots) which offers stupendous views. The main entrance to RMNP is only about 30 minutes away, leading to Sprague Lake & the famous Trail Ridge Road (which leads to the Alpine Visitor's Center). At & from the Inn, we saw freely roaming deer, a herd of elk & multiple othernforms of wildlfe. The town of Estes Park is a cute touristy town full of shops & restaurants.

Recently visited here with our son's family including three grandchildren. The condo contained all the dishes we needed to cook our meals. The accommodations were roomy with two bedrooms. We we allowed to check in early, which we truly appreciated after our 6:00 am flight. We stayed in A1/2 unit. The king sized bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub were very nice. The porch provided a breathtaking view of the mountains which we enjoyed with our morning cup of coffee. Grocery store nearby, and even visited the farmer's market.

Room Tip: Unit A 1/2 had a view of the pond and the mountains King bed, Queen bed, and two sofa beds.

Stayed 3 days for our wedding. The experience was friendly and relaxed and very, very enjoyable. The property is very clean and well kept. Our condo had a kitchen, jacuzzi tub, and a porch with wonderful views. The property is easy to get around on, and it was nice to have such a short walk to our wedding site. The pavilion where we had our ceremony is nothing short of spectacular. Sara who is the wedding specialist there is warm, professional, and made us feel taken care of. She really helped our day become just that much better. A lovely place that feels secluded and relaxed but is just outside of town if you need anything else. Thank you!

We spent two days at Black Canyon Inn and we loved it. The place was really clean and spacious. Our unit had a nice view of the moutains. We saw multiple cool animals roaming on the site. The kitchen was well furnished. The place was really quite though April is not the high season. We will be back for sure.
