We stayed there for two nights (Aug 21-22). It was easily the best value for the money I found during an Internet search. Great view. Close to everything we wanted to do in Estes Park. Very personable staff. The rooms had recently been remodeled.

Wow, thank you so much for your very nice review! We love getting feedback from our guests, especially ones which mention our nice, friendly staff. In our opinion, it is definitely the most important compliment we can receive!

We purchased this older property just last year and have been working hard and fast to improve it as much as we can. It is our goal to provide the best budget lodging in an otherwise very expensive resort town.

Since we’re a “young” property, we will be constantly seeking feedback and making adjustments for many years so please come back soon and let us know that you’ve stayed before and we’ll set you up!

Thanks again for taking the time to write us. We really appreciate it!

Had a wonderful time at this lodge last night. Beds were very comfortable and loved the views from our front porch. We walked into town but there is a free shuttle service in Estes Park. This lodge is very close to the lake and we walked there twice during our visit, got to see a huge male Elk relaxing in the grass in the morning. Hot tub and pool were great after a long day. Had a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge in the room as an added bonus.

Room Tip: 134 was our room number

I come up from Estes Park every week to work at Safeway. The first time I came up I was a little concerned about the low cost hotels in Estes. After staying at the coyote once, I knew that. I was it was truly a great hotel for the money!!! The pool and hot tub were awesome and a great place to chill after work!! The staff is awesome and are so friendly during check in and all the way through the stay. With clean room and an awesome view of the mountains from almost every room, I. Would highly recommend the Coyote as a great place in Estes to stay!! Thanks for the great experience!!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 2nd level!!

We spent one night at the Coyote Mountain Lodge and were pleasantly surprised, as we initially ended up there because we couldn't find another available room at the price we wanted. The staff was very friendly, the room simple but clean, and the location was far enough away from Estes Park downtown that it didn't feel crowded; but we were definitely close enough that we could get downtown within a few minutes.

I went to a small one night, one day conference here. The facility is good for group meetings. Local restaurants are easily accessible by foot or a short drive. Superb views are everywhere. Parking is easy. It's especially convenient if you want to avoid the noise and bustle of downtown Estes Park.

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side are near the pool.

I spent a night at the Coyote Lodge as part of a business retreat . They couldn't have picked a better location - it was easy to find and in a great location that's far enough away from the touristy hustle-and-bustle for peace and quiet but just a few minutes away from downtown and about 10 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.

It reminded me of the hotels my parents found crossing the country when we were kids - not too big, not too small, genuinely nice local staff. A little piece of Americana nestled in the Rocky Mountains.

The rooms are nice, the pool is clean, there's lots of parking, and what an incredible view of town from the back! Highly recommend.

My wife and I come to Estes Park a lot and love the area. We just stayed at the Coyote Mountain Lodge on Big Thompson Avenue, and were very pleasantly surprised. This refurbished lodge was such a delightful place from the moment you checked in; friendly staff, charming and clean rooms, incredible views and close to everything! And it was easy on the wallet, too—which you don't often get in this popular tourist town. We talked with one the owners and you could tell that they took great pride in providing a excellent experience for their guests. I highly recommend this place.
