“IMPORTANT: Currently Being Remodeled”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

We booked this quite a bit in advance without realizing that the property is currently being remodeled. The room was extremely clean, the staff at the office were very helpful. They have good customer service skills. I am glad that for some reason I rechecked the comments about this facility prior to our arrival though; otherwise, I would have been really upset.

The pool is currently closed (and probably will be until next spring) they have made arrangements with a local community facility for their customers to be able to go and use the pool facilities. We did not do this.

Our room was a little small to hold two adults and an eight year old, small refrigator, microwave, table and one (1) chair. They did have a picnic area for us to us.

Be prepared that their soda machine is out of order. Our Granddaughter was sick on night and I was looking for some Sprite. They had been trying to get it fixed but couldn't seem to get a serviceman out.

I totally agree with coltscam18's comment "Nothing special but serves its purpose”.

In conclusion, just know what you are getting BEFORE you actually arrive. My guess is that once the remodeling is finished, they will be raising their prices. They know that they are the cheapest place in town .

Room Tip: I totally agree with coltscam18's comment "Nothing special but serves its purpose”. In...

Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate your taking the time to review your experience with us! We purchased this property in February and have been renovating it ever since.

We just finished sanding, patching and repainting the pool and installing new steps and a hand rail. It is being filled with water this week and should be open this next week. It's been a long and complicated process and we're very pleased that it's finally in the home stretch.

We believe that Estes Park needs an affordable alternative to the $150+ motel rooms, especially in the busy sold out summer season. There are many guests on a budget and we appreciate that not all of them need the deluxe amenities provided by other motels.

We are renovating all of our bathrooms this winter as well as other upgrades such as a few new kitchenettes as well as a new playground set for the kiddos.

Please check with us next season and see our next phase!

They are renovating. Too bad they didn't advertise that - it would have lessened our let down. No pool, no hot tub, construction tape, debris and noise were constant. Room was clean but not what is advertised. Don't believe the description or the photos. Estes Park isn't cheap but pay the extra until they fix this up.

Thank you for the feedback. We purchased this property in February of 2012 and have been renovating the entire property. We're really working hard to make the property nice. We're sorry that the construction was a problem. We are finished with most of the improvements now. As you commented, our prices were half the price of our neighboring motels to reflect the renovations. We would love to have you see the results of all the construction. Please let us know if you are back up in Estes and we can certainly take care of you and promise to give you a much better experience.

For the price. It great. If you're expecting something spectacular this isn't it but if you are just looking for a practical place to stay this should do well.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We purchased this property in February of 2012 and have spent a considerable amount of time and energy to renovate many of the rooms but haven't had time to do it all. Our main goal is to offer an affordable alternative to many of the higher priced lodging in Estes during the summer high season. We take the time every morning to check rates of the neighboring motels to make sure we're at least $50 less than they are.

Please check with us next season after we finish remodeling many of our bathrooms!
