We just got back from Estes Park, CO and what an awesome time we had!!! We stayed at Brynwood on the River in their "Timberlake Vacation Home"! We absolutely loved it! The view was spectacular and the wildlife abundant! It was very clean and was just like a home away from home. It had laundry facilities which helped out having with the kids! It was in the woods which the back yard turned into National Forest. The kids hiked and hiked and finally talked us into hiking all the way up the mountain ourselves...we saw deer and elk and tons of birds! That night we saw a fox and the kids went nuts! it was only about 5 minutes to downtown Estes Park, we loved the location. The Brynwood staff was friendly and accommodating and eager to please! The managers were very knowledgeable about the different hikes to go on up in Rocky Mountain National Park. We rented a boat and went out on Lake Estes (which we had a view of from the Timberlake Home) and also went to the Go-Carts not far from there! We loved the Brynwood accommodations because of the cleanliness and the well maintained cabins and homes!

We booked a room online in the motel - #19. Upon arrival, our first impressions were of an older, but well-maintained, property. When we first entered our room, we were met with a stale smell as if it had been closed up for some time. We opened the windows for a short time and the problem was quickly resolved. The surprising and unexpected bonus to this room was the astonishing view of the mountains. We kept the curtains open the entire visit so that at every opportunity we could be reminded of the beauty that drew us to the area in the first place. The staff was pleasant. We were travelling with an 8yo and 9yo - and they were treated well. Even though it was chilly during our visit, the heated pool provided an enjoyable break from other activities. If we were to return to Estes Park, we would consider renting a cabin at Brynwood - but it would be hard to give up the "room with a view."

We stayed in one of Brynwood's vacation homes called Timberlake on our 6 night trip to Estes Park! We wanted a home for our vacation in Estes Park because we wanted each of our two small children to have their own room and have enough room to feel "at home"...and that's exactly what we got in this house! This home was very clean and well cared for and the view was SPECTACULAR! It had a view of a lake (in the distance) off the large deck that you can even see through the sliding glass doors! We saw a lot of deer, chipmunks, hummingbirds, and even a little red fox one morning!
We had a washer/dryer in the house which came in handy after our family walks in the "backyard" that is really a gradual, wooded slope up the mountain.
We were only a few minutes from both downtown shopping and the outdoor pool and trout fishing (on the main Brynwood property). The staff at Brynwood was always very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!
We are planning to go back next summer when we revisit the fox that my kids wanted to bring home with us! Great stay!!

We stayed at Brynwood in a cabin on the river, it was wonderful! The accommodations were clean and the hot tub was fabulous overlooking the river! We have stayed in "The Sea Galley", "Rock'n River", Zimmer Frei" and "The Bunkhouse" and each time have loved the experience! We are hoping to book "The Love Nest" for our anniversary this year. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the river! We even caught an 18" trout just outside our cabin! The pool is always like bathtub water, very warm and inviting after hiking, not to mention the hot tub! We love the location at Brynwood because it's just a mile or so to downtown Estes Park and about the same distance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will always return to Brynwood!

We booked 3 nights here as a base to seeing the Rocky Mountains. We got a cabin facing the river (highly recommend -asking for one of these) The cabin we had was called the Den and was an older one but still very quaint and clean. On the pro side it was a great base for everything, quiet and lovely on the river, and the pool was heated and had a kiddies pool which worked perfect for my 3 year old. On the down side the beds weren't that comfortable and a little small for us (I think they were doubles and not queens in our cabin) Overall really no complaints and if you want a good base for the Rockys - this is it.

We stayed here after being unable to reserve anything along Fall River Rd on a peak summer weekend. It's a modest property, and wedged in a little too close to the highway. But the cabins are clean, well-furnished, and even charming (many with hot tubs and/or fireplaces) and management is friendly and accomodating. Central location provides easy access to town and RMNP. It ain't the Boulder Brook, but overall it's a decent mid-priced option in the heart of Estes. Try to get one of the cabins right on the Big Thompson River if you stay here.
