Description: Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.

“Excellent food - great atmosphere for all”
Reviewed September 30, 2008

Based on previous tripadvisor reviews we came here after a short afternoon hike. It was Saturday, so there was a half hour wait, but we sat at the bar and had some local beer while watching football (the place is much more upscale than that sounds). We had the fettuccine and the buffalo burger - there was more than enough food and it was all excellent for a completely reasonable price. I also appreciated the comfortable but very nice atmosphere. I highly recommend the Rock Inn if you're in Estes.

“Good steak.”
Reviewed September 22, 2008

Six of us enjoyed an evening here. None of us would name it the top restaurant in Estes Park, but neither would we fail to return on our next trip to RMNP. The two of us who had the flat iron steak were especially pleased as was a salmon eater. The other three were not disappointed, but were less enthusiastic. Service was a little slow. Most of us liked the rustic atmosphere.

“Best in Estes Park”
Reviewed September 21, 2008

I have nothing new to add -- just reinforce everything that has already been said. Husband & I had supper there earlier this evening and everything was great. We enjoyed the appetizer Devil's on Horseback and never would have ordered it had we not read about it here first. Husband had potato leek soup and then the trout for his entree and it was all excellent. I enjoyed a buffalo burger and sweet potato fries. Service was attentive and genuine. We liked it so much that we might return for dinner a second time during our short visit here in Estes Park!

Also, we were there before 6pm and there were several "early bird specials", along with happy hour, that made our meal even more of a value for the money.

“Good restaurant in Estes Park”
Reviewed September 20, 2008

My husband and I ate here twice during our vacation earlier this month. The first time we each had a pasta dish, plus an interesting and tasty appetizer of garlic-stuffed dates wrapped with bacon. The second time, he had fillet mignon and I had salmon. Both dinners were excellent. Our first visit was on a weekend, and they were jammed. The second time was midweek and much quieter. Service was good both times. Prices were moderate.

“Nice Dinner!”
Reviewed September 17, 2008

My husband and I ate dinner there one night. I ordered a pasta dish and really liked it. My husband had the buffalo burger and was very satisfied with it. We had the devil's on horseback for an appetizer and we loved that! Service was a good pace and very pleasant.
