Description: Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.

“Exceptional Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

This was our "last night of vacation splurge" dinner as we had been doing lunch & dinner in our cabin to save money. We couldn't have picked a better place! From the bacon-wrapped date appetizers (so good!) to the flat iron steaks, everything was just perfect. We were seated immediately and served our drinks promptly. The appetizer came out within 5 minutes or so and once we ordered, steaks were served within 15 minutes or so. My husband said it was the best steak he has ever eaten and I've got to say it was definitely up there on my list. Dinner included a salad, warm bread with cinnamon butter, your choice of starchy side (we went with the mashed potatoes) and a veggie. Quite a bit of food for the money. We were too full to order dessert but the options sounded wonderful. Definitely a place we'd return to when we come back to Estes Park for future vacations.

“Get there early!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

This restaurant is always busy - for a very good reason .... it is very good! It fills up quickly with both locals and visitors, but they will seat you quicker if you call ahead. The food is good, especially their Angels on Horseback appetizer. The staff are efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere is rustic and comfortable. We went back !!

“Great 'to go' food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

After a long hike around RMNP we decided for dinner in at out cabin by the river. Rock Inn was recommended. My husband said it looked like a 'townie' restaurant, which is great for us! We love supporting the local establishments! (rather than chains like Subway, Starbucks, ect) They had everything form nice steaks to 'bar food'. I had the beef burger with fries, my husband had the chicken sandwich. For desert we had bread pudding. It was a great meal and was well priced. Stop by after a day in the park. You will not be disappointed!

“Well worth a meal”

Rock Inn is a very nice local restaurant just south of town. Rustic, log interior, good food and service, nice beer selection. The bacon wrapped date appetizer is really good and unique.

“Very enjoyable bison burger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

Cynthia of The Romantic Riversong recommended this restaurant; it was an enjoyable place to visit and the food was very good. I had the bison burger and it was excellent. It is not in the downtown area but toward but left of RMNP entrance. It is a popular place but, I guess, we got there early enough that it was not a problem......the Dunraven Inn probably would require a reservation but that is for another review.
