We happened upon this museum one day. We had never even heard about it although we have spent lots of time in Estes Park. It is NOT in Rocky Mountain National Park as the information above indicates but it is Estes Park, near the cemetery. It was the hydropower plant built by F.O. Stanley to power his hotel and the town of Estes Park. It was in use until the Lawn Lake flood in 1982. We had a very knowledgable local tour guide and the museum is free!
