“great view”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

We really enjoyed the friend pickles we had for an appetizer. The food was good and the view was excellent! We were entertained by the ducks on the river outside the window. Service was a little slow but it was lunch time and very busy.

“Good service, below average food.”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We went to The Other Side on Memorial Day weekend hoping for a nicer dinner with the kids. The service was good and they were very accommodating with the kids. The food was below average. I had the prime rib and my husband had a buffalo steak. It was like cafeteria food. The kids burger and fish/chips was acceptable. For maybe 1/4 the price, it would have seemed reasonable. Will not be going back when there are other good options in Estes. Perhaps the "cafe" part upstairs is better -- it may be the same food for 1/2 the price.

“Great food and wonderful views”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

We have been to The Other Side on several trips to Estes Park. In the winter it is great to sit on the lower section, near the pond and the huge fireplace.

We have always enjoyed the food and the service.

The food was not as good as I had hoped. It wasn't bad. Just average. We ordered off the menu on a Sunday at lunch time.

“Extraordinary Seafood Buffet!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

It was our unexpected discovery as we wandered in last Friday night, to discover that once a month (except during summer months) on the first Friday of the month this restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet for $29.95 each. That sounded a little expensive but after we looked, we ate! This price included a large fruit, vegetable and salad starter table, then wonderful entrees including Walnut Pesto Cream Tilapia, Maple Pecan Salmon, Shrimp Cakes (instead of Crab Cakes), fresh shrimp, fresh crab, Parmesan Crusted Cod, and many more tasty dishes. On top of that was a lavish dessert table, with carrot cake, lemon meringue pie, coconut pie, banana cream pie, flan, chocolate peanut butter pie, brownies, eclairs, cream puffs. We were stuffed! And it was all delicious. We have no idea what their every day menu is like, but if this is any indication, it will be good. For the seafood buffet, be sure to call ahead - they told us they will do it once more before summer, in June, then they will start it up again in the fall.
