Wow! We were looking for a good place for our family to eat dinner together on a Saturday night. There were a few places we wanted to try so we checked them out, but because they were small and had live music, we feared it would be difficult for our big group to be able to visit and enjoy our time together.

We went up a mountain to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is located in the Crags resort built in 1914. It overlooks the city of Estes Park and is spacious and beautiful.

We were seated right away and had a great server that was continually attentive. The prices were higher than we normally spend, but we definitely got what we paid for. Our group had mussels, coconut shrimp and artichoke dip for appetizers. All were very delicious and fresh.

We had a variety of dishes, from filet, Cajun ribeye, pasta and lamb chops for our entrees. All were delicious. One member of our party received their steak over done. The waiter was quick to recognize the problem and rices that meal from the bill.

Deserts and coffee were all excellent as well. It was a delightful dining experience. I would recommend The View to anyone wanting a delicious dinner in a beautiful atmosphere.

I prefer eclectic restaurants with a more metropolitan feel so I was concerned when our group of 11 walked in and thought this place was going to be bland. It is part of a historic lodge/inn so the decor is a little upscale and the music was soft. The food turned out to be really good. Everything was made from scratch and the flavors were very enjoyable. I prefer more exotic and bold flavors but was very happy with what we ate. This was a great place to eat with a nice view and lots of room for large groups. I noticed that they have these little tables for 2 on these outside balconies, with a view of the city and the mountain ranges.

This was our second time this year to enjoy the food and the wonderful views from Crag's Lodge. Our waitress Julie was very attentive and overall happy person. I had a delicious pasta dish with chicken, shrimp, tomatoes, black olives. It was finished with a lite tomato sauce and the perfect amount of spice. We started our meal with the coconut shrimp. They were awesome. I highly recommend the View at Crag's lodge!

It was a very good experience to eat at The View in Estes Park. Food is very good and we have excellent service by Lucero and Sarah.

If you come to Estes Park and want to eat better than just fast food, do not think about it, go to The View at Crags Hotel a century hotel
