Wow! We were looking for a good place for our family to eat dinner together on a Saturday night. There were a few places we wanted to try so we checked them out, but because they were small and had live music, we feared it would be difficult for our big group to be able to visit and enjoy our time together.
We went up a mountain to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is located in the Crags resort built in 1914. It overlooks the city of Estes Park and is spacious and beautiful.
We were seated right away and had a great server that was continually attentive. The prices were higher than we normally spend, but we definitely got what we paid for. Our group had mussels, coconut shrimp and artichoke dip for appetizers. All were very delicious and fresh.
We had a variety of dishes, from filet, Cajun ribeye, pasta and lamb chops for our entrees. All were delicious. One member of our party received their steak over done. The waiter was quick to recognize the problem and rices that meal from the bill.
Deserts and coffee were all excellent as well. It was a delightful dining experience. I would recommend The View to anyone wanting a delicious dinner in a beautiful atmosphere.
