If you want a clean, comfortable motel at the doorstep of Rocky Mountain National Park this is the place. It literally is the last motel before the entrance about two miles away. The managers know everything there is to know about trails in the park. A liquor store and grocery store are across the street. The owner of the motel has a solid restaurant next to the motel, with a 10% discount for Alpine Ridge customers. Across the street is a restaurant that has received pretty good reviews. A drive back into Estes Park, or to the wonderful Doughnut Haus (not to be missed for early morning pastries) is just a few minutes long. While there is a great view of the mountains from the site, if you are looking for forested surroundings and bubbling stream running by your deck this is not the place. If you want reasonable (for Estes in the summer) prices, convenience, cleanliness, heated pool, staff interested in helping, Alpine Trail Ridge has delivered that for us during four or five visits during the last 8-10 years. It is next to the road and for the most part people park in front of their rooms. But rooms are solidly built to muffle sound and there are many set back.

Room Tip: Rooms set back a little recommended, but even rooms near road aren't that bad for noise, which d...

We stayed for 4 nights while hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park. We had previously stayed here 2 years ago. The first time we had a Western room. This time we had a standard room which was bigger and had 2 queen beds. The extra space was nice. The room was comfortable and clean and the towels were nice. The internet worked well also.

Room Tip: If you want more space get a standard room.

First impressions are very important and ours weren't great. it was our own fault really because we hadn't realised that it was a traditional car-at-your-door motel. The decor was a wee bit tired, especially in the bathroom. But, having said that, the more we looked at it, the better it became and we realised that it was spotlessly clean and everything was at hand. It also had a big Lazy Boy chair and that gave me a glimpse of the future! There is an excellent restaurant next door.

I agree with this guest that we are not as modern as we would like to be. The reality of it all is that there is never enough capital available each year to do all the upgrading we would like to do, It is an older property and in the 37 years that we have been managing it, the changes we have done have been very remarkable. Unfortunately, there is always more to do to bring it up to the higher quality we desire, and as I think everyone is aware of, costs are rising much faster than income.

That said, we specialize in exceptionally clean rooms, with lots of amenities, well maintained, and at a reasonable price. In looking at other properties in the area, there are definitely fancier, and newer ones, at a heftier price also.It basically boils down to matching what we offer with the guest's expectations, which from our other reviews, I feel we do a pretty good job of it.

We arrived to the Inn on the early side and they had our room all ready to go! They were extremely nice and the room was perfect! We could see the Rockies from our room!!!! Very close to town and close to Rocky Mountain National Park entrance/exit. It was perfect. We stayed in the Western Family unit and it was great!!!! Highly recommend this Inn!!!!

This Inn is the CLEANEST place. Nestled against the Mountains of Estes Park, this quaint little inn was a great find. Very friendly and accommodating staff :). Many of the rooms offer a different twist. Balcony views, door side parking, and a great restaurant right there! I'd highly recommend this Inn for your next stay.

Room Tip: As the staff you show you your room options before you get your key..... all a little unique :)

The family that owns this place is very nice and friendly. They helped us with suggesting hikes, places to eat, and were pleasant to talk to. The rooms were very clean, no bedbugs. We stayed in the family suite which is awesome. Heated pool. If you find yourself in a room far away from the main office, the wifi is very weak.

We would like to thank all of our guests for their kind comments. I apologize to this guest for the weak internet connection. We have been experiencing some problems with our wireless internet in the rooms.

We contacted our provider, and he explained that he has been having problems with another wireless provider who is overpowering their signal and it has been causing problems with our provider's service.

Our provider made some changes and upgrades within his system and switched us to another radio, and it looks like the strength has returned to our signal. He is very responsive whenever we have any kind of problem, and stays with it until it is fixed.
