“Roomy condo”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Getting a two bedroom condo gave us the space to spread out.
Plus- Space, proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Tv with DVD players in family room and Master Bedroom.
Minus- No Ac!! No tv in kids room.

Bedrooms were on the bottom floor and kitchen/living area on top floor.
Didn't feel comfortable opening up windows in the bedrooms at night.(being on the first floor.) Fans were in the condo.
Kitchen was functional.
Choose creek side when possible. Mountain side was by the parking lot.
Kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
There are many DVD's to choose from for some brainless at home entertainment.
Good experience.

This was our second trip to Fawn Valley Inn in two years. Last year we had a family reunion and had such a great time that we immediately starting booking for this year. Our trip this was planned right in the middle of the High Park wildfire which caused us to change some plans but Estes Park was absolutely beautiful. The weather was much hotter than expected and the fact that there was no air conditioning which made the afternoons unbearable, but then again most places in Estes Park don't have A/C including the Stanley Hotel. The accomodations were great, we had coffee on the balcony facing the river and enjoyed the hot tub at night. The staff is amazing!!! The location is perfect; just outside of the Rocky Mountain National Park, away from the downtown crowds. This is definately our choice of locations and we are looking forward to our next vacation.

We were here on a motorcycle trip from Oklahoma. We stayed 2 nights in room 101. We loved it! Having the deck with the view, the grill & table was so nice. We saw deer, elk & even a bear in the tree right off the deck! It was awesome!!! Stay here!!!!!!

Our family stayed for 4 days and we were very happy with our unit. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath. It was clean and well supplied. The only thing we didn't like was the place was HOT from lunch time well past midnight during our stay. There is no air conditioning. Our last day was much cooler and so the condo was cool and comfortable as well. We used the pool, hot tub, front desk and were happy with all. There other issue (minor) was our elderly mother was unable to get a ride in one of the golf carts down to her condo after using the pool. (She asked on of the staff using a golf cart for help) She had a hip replacement and after struggling to get out of the pool (steep steps), she felt she was unable to walk down the steep road to her condo. She was told no they couldn't help her. So she waited until she felt she could handle it (about 45 minutes). She didn't have her cell phone with her, so couldn't call to us for help. Nor could she walk to the office and have someone there call.

This hotel has a variety of accommodations. We enjoyed a delightful two bedroom condo located within 20 feet of the Fall River that rushed well within hearing from our bedrooms. What a way to go to bed! The bath was up-dated, complete and most clean. The kitchen could have used a bit of up-dating, but was completely functional. The pool and hot tub are well maintained, and warm towels at poolside were a delightful touch. Couldn't say enough nice things about this facility. Staff, greeting, service excellent. Spacious living areas, nice flat screen TV, over-all, a pleasure.

Room Tip: Our condo, "down by the river" was wonderful. However, would expect other rooms to be equ...

We stayed here for five nights in early June 2012.

It was our second stay at Fawn Valley. Two years ago, the condo we stayed in had been recently remodeled, and everything felt new and clean. The hot tub was cleaned every day.

This time, we stayed in a different condo, but one remodeled about the same time as the other one. It already had that lived-in feel, stains on the carpet, the bathrooms still very nice, but not quite having that brand new freshness. We're not sure if the hot tub was given attention the entire time we were there, and had a grimy feel by the end of our stay.

Still, everything else was great. Lovely views of mountains and Fall River, a refreshing swimming pool, which was given lots of attention every day, helpful staff, close to the park and Estes Park.

Would we stay here again? Probably, but might split the stay in Estes Park with another property.

For our anniversary celebration my husband and I booked and prepaid a 1bedroom suite with jacuzzi overlooking the river at Fawn Valley Inn. When we arrived, to our total shock, there was MAJOR renovations going on. We had to ask the guy running the bulldozer if he could move his equipment so we could have access to our room, the entire ordeal was a nightmare. They finally admitted that they didn't have a room for us at all. They tried to put us in a place down the road that was very inadequate and not even on the river telling us there would be absolutely no adjustment on our rate at all! We decided to just find a nice place on our own even though it was 5pm at night and I was in tears. We went online and found Bugle Point Condos right down the street for the same price. The inside decor was much nicer and more up to date and the best thing of all is it is RIGHT on the river, not up above overlooking it from far away. There was a hot tub on the patio and it was heaven watching the Elk graze out front. We are now thankful that Fawn Valley turned us away and we ended up at Bugle Point, it was a blessing! I would steer clear of Fawn Valley Inn!!!!

We regret this guest had a less than satisfactory experience. Our renovation project caused us to have to relocate this guest, a rare occurrence. We offered an alternate unit that we felt was comparable. We do our best to help everyone enjoy their stay, which is how we have earned 122 Excellent reviews. Come and see our new renovations!
