We found McGregor's because Rocky Mountain sheep were standing in their yard and we drove in to take a look. Hummingbirds were flying all over the place-we were sold!
We stayed a few weeks ago and Brat the elk was only 1 foot away from the cabin window looking in at me-what an experience to see an elk so close! Thoroughly recommend McGregor's-Susan at the front desk is great and very helpful. We take every opportunity we can to go up and stay at McGregor's to visit at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Hi Yvonne!

Thanks for your kind remarks about McGregor Mountain Lodge and your most recent stay with us! Brat is certainly starting to become the celebrity...so much so, that people around town come looking for him and ask about him. Oddly enough, it was our maintenance guy Steve that started naming the various animals, especially the Elk--Brat, Little Boy, Big Boy, Lefty. And now we even have Tippy, the fox too! I guess a good lesson in branding.

We are having amazing spring like snow and weather, with record amounts in the park. Guests have really ben enjoying the snow shoeing. Hope you have a great rest of your winter and spring, and thanks, as always, for your continued support and recommendations for McGregor Mountain Lodge.

This was our third stay at McGregor Mountain and it is our favourite weekend getaway. The cabins are cozy and clean with great views and wonderful mountain wildlife for neighbours. Susan has to be the best Inn Keeper in the mountains!

One of the best experiences of my life! I have been looking forward to getting back to McGregor ever since I left.
The staff is very friendly, the views are legendary and I truly felt relaxed and at home during my stay.

Intended to stay one or two nights, ended up staying four!

Where else can you go and the wildlife comes to your door? We stayed 4 nights in June 2013 and loved every minute of our stay. The kitchenette was well stocked with utensils. Very clean and the staff were very friendly. One employee even came up on the golf cart and asked the children next door if they wanted to ride down and see the elk on the property. Would definitely go back and stay longer.

Ellen,

Thanks for your response and great comments about McGregor Mountain Lodge. Truly, the animals here are amazing. I've traveled the world, and really haven't found any other experience that I can honestly say the animals are right outside your door. We like to think of them as our "Resident Wildlife Guests", and truly, they sort of are! Hope to see you all again sometime soon, and do encourage you to consider a weekly stay with those amazing weekly rates!

We stayed at McGregor last June 2013 and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The hospitality is warm and welcoming. Our cabin was clean and all ready for our arrival with the windows open and fresh air streaming through. We weren't there 5 minutes and a fox ran by the bay window. We had elk visit us daily and even had one of the resident dogs come to stay with us for awhile. That was nice since we were missing the ones we left at home.We were in our little piece of heaven and will be going back to it again this summer of 2014. I have told all of my friends about this resort and have even shared facebook posts from the lodge. I believe this is an excellent place to visit while in the Estes Park area.

Thanks for sharing your comments with other folks out there...and summer 2104 will be here before you know it! Its always hard to envision summer when we continue to get snowstorm after snowstorm this time of year. Seems we have winter, then summer shows up all of a sudden! We all look forward to seeing you with us this summer!
