I had a group of 37 people (both youth and adults) that were on a mission trip. We stayed at Hotel Estes for one night at the end of our time in Colorado. The entire staff was amazing - both before we arrived (setting up multiple rooms) and while we were there. They allowed our group to use the entire lobby for a late night meeting, had a good continental breakfast ready in the morning, and helped guide our group to several different activities. The rooms were awesome - clean, updated with comfortable beds, PLUS they offered our group roll-aways at no charge. Whether you're traveling as a couple, family, or large group - you won't be disappointed with Hotel Estes. I will definitely stay there the next time I'm in Estes Park.

The views from our room were fantastic. We were on the second floor which was a pain to climb but the view was worth it. I would have given it 5 stars but the coffee and rolls were not available until 7:30. The second item was when I called because we were not sure on the directions I told the person where we were (lily lake) and he sent us back up a mountain. We stopped again and got directions from someone who lives there. The person who answered the phone did not know the area.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We are happy to hear that you had a comfortable stay and a good nights rest. We truly appreciate your input on the wifi and towels. We currently replaced the towels, but will work on the wifi next. We recently changed ownership and have been working on numerous improvements at the property. If you're just looking for a good night's sleep, then this hotel delivers. Our room was clean and quiet with adequate temperature controls. The queen beds were extremely comfortable--quality mattresses with silky sheets--providing us with one of the best night's sleep we've ever had at a hotel. As other guests have mentioned, however, normal curtains would have allowed us to enjoy the mountain view from our picture window. We also would have preferred a larger bathroom with better towels. A faster, more reliable Internet connection would have been helpful, too. The price was right, though, especially compared with other 3-star hotels in town.

Room Tip: This hotel does not have an elevator. If you have heavy luggage, ask for a room on the first floor.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Since your stay, we have replaced the towels. We are also in the process of upgrading our internet service. Being in the mountains, it is sometimes hard to get reliable internet service! In addition, we appreciate your input about the blinds. When we renovated the hotel, we chose to get blinds. A majority of our rooms face west towards the continental divide, and the blacktop. We though blinds would provide better protection from the sun. However, due to your feedback, we will consider getting blinds in the future. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

My husband and I took a long weekend to Estes park. This hotel was great. Clean, friendly staff and close to downtown! This is a very simple hotel. If you plan on hiking and exploring, you can't go wrong with this hotel. But if your looking for a resort look else where.

The room was quite basic but spacious and the bath room was very small, but they were both very clean. All rooms have mountain view, although it might be a little obstructed. Unfortunately, the hotel choose to put blinds in front of the windows instead of curtains. So everyone can look into your room (if you are on the first floor, like we were) and if you want to prevent that, you have no view. I though that was a pity. The location of the hotel is quite good and the staff is really awesome. Very friendly and helpful. I think the rate was a little on the steep side, but it might have to do with the Memorial Weekend. My biggest complaint would be it is quite noisy, the walls are quite thin and our neighbors took a shower at 5.30 am and it looked like they were taking the shower in our room. Other than that, not a bad choice if you stay in Estes Park.

Room Tip: I think you're better off on the second floor, so you hear nobody stomping around above you. Als...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that your stay was just basic. We are new owners and are in the process of renovating the hotel. So far we have added new beds, comforters, light fixtures, shades, carpet and more. Our next step will be sound proofing. Estes Park is very expensive during Memorial Day weekend. Our off season is October through April and the rates are much more reasonable. We hope to see you again sometime!

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 6 years. Although the name and the management has changed, the quality has not. This is a very comfy place to stay near everything in Estes Park. Near the town full of shops and restaurants, also only a few miles from 2 entrances to Rocky Mountain Natl Park. The staff here is always amazing! Friendly and helpful! The rooms are modern and have all the amenities you need. Flat screen TV, microwave and fridge in the rooms. It's a 2 story hotel, with pool and hot tub, seasonal, of course. They offer a free continental breakfast in the lobby as well. We LOVE staying here, and the rates are reasonable. We have stayed at other hotels in the area, but this one is far above the rest.

Room Tip: Any room is a great room here!

I stayed here during the off season for a very reasonable rate. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic theme. The bed was comfortable. The room window looks out at beautiful mountain views (which are tough to miss in Estes Park). Unfortunately, the window also looks out onto the walkway, so you must choose views or privacy. The breakfast was simple; donuts, coffee, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. Overall, this was a great experience.

Room Tip: All rooms face the mountains. Get one on the second floor for an optimal view.
