This hotel has new ownership within the past year or so and it shows. There are many cosmetic improvements, but the outstanding feature is the owners and staff who are unfailingly helpful and friendly. They are energetic and knowledgeable (i.e., local restaurant selections, hikes, things to see) and their commitment to the business is obvious. Other nice touches include free water and snacks for hikes in the lodge and good laundry facilities. The hotel is just outside of town but located next to a stop for the free ten shuttle. This will be our first choice for future trips to Estes Park.

Hotel Estes was a pretty nice hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed there 2 nights. We had looked at a few different hotels online. Some priced higher and some lower. But this one had a lot of good reviews. And we were not let down. Room was very nice and cozy. I liked all the natural light that came into the room. And there was wood trimmings and wooden tables. So it felt very rustic which I liked. The room was clean. Bathroom was a little on the small side but otherwise a nice room. The continental Breakfast was also nice.Wish they had more places to sit though while eating breakfast. All they had were chairs and a small coffee table. So everyone was hovering over the coffee table trying to eat their breakfast. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and knowledgeable about the town. And they even offered a map of the town which had places to eat and different shops. Which was very helpful to have during our stay. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel next time.

It was the little things that made this such a spectacular place to stay. Free waterbottles all day, many creamer flavors for the coffee, friendliest staff ever... GORGEOUS mountain views from all windows.... free shuttle stop right next door. Although my family was pretty busy, I would have loved to have joined the many families in the swimming pool/hot tub and bbq area each night. My mom wanted me to note that if you are looking for the height of modernity, this place may not be for you, but if you want a comfortable, good value, good location, it is for you. This really was a most amazing place and I wish we could have stayed longer! (Also, I would have given this place 5 stars, but my dad wanted more variety from the free continental breakfast, and my mom thought the free wifi was a bit slow... there's no pleasing everyone, haha)

This turned out to be one of the only hotels available when we were in Estes Park. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the room was (we booked the bigger queen room) and how nice everything was. They have done a nice job of redoing the whole place. The view was beautiful.

We found Hotel Estes after extensive searching for a room in Estes Park for our family vacation. Trying to find something decent and affordable is tough! We booked here because of the wonderful reviews we read on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Everything was well kept and clean. The staff was courteous and friendly and ready to help. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and it was nice and clean. The bathroom was a little tight. The breakfast was very enjoyable too. We were uncertain what a light continental would offer, but were pleasantly surprised! A very decent variety of breakfast foods were offered: breads, oatmeal, fruit, donuts, cinnamon rolls, prepackaged donuts/muffins/pop tarts, various juices, coffee and water. The hotel even has snacks and water available for guests each day. Our children made use of the pool and hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Previous reviews I read suggested rooms 210-212 have great views of the mountains. We had room 108...

My family and I were pleasantly surprised at the clean, modern rooms at an incredible rate of $115 per night. The facilities include a decent outdoor pool and hot tub. The mountain views from the covered decks are amazing.
