Boulder Brook on Fall River

This is the second time in a decade that my husband & I stayed for three nights and had a very relaxing time. The units are showing some of their age. However, the bed, linens, and above all, cleanliness are top notch. We travel to Estes in the shoulder season, so traffic noise from the road is not a problem. We have stayed at other properties on Fall River and believe most if not all will have some traffic noise; it's difficult to avoid. I like the way the units are decorated, and management has taken many small things into consideration that make for a very peaceful and pleasant stay.

Dear 'Former Austinite',
We always appreciate constructive comments. This property was built fifteen years ago, so.....it is true.....we are not brand new, but, neither is Rome.

Within the last year we have stained all exteriors, painted all interiors, installed new carpet throughout, purchased new pillow-top mattresses/box springs for all of the suites, and replaced appliances, as appropriate. we are continually adding to our luxurious bedding and playing with the decor, as the mood strikes us. It is always our goal to provide our guests with a comfortabel and relaxing visit; an 'ahhhhhh' getaway.

We hope that most of you appreciate our mission, which is to get BETTER, not just older.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Calvin, G.M.

On our first trip to Colorado, friends suggested staying at Boulder Brook on Fall River. After checking the website, we decided to book for three days the end of April. What a great experience! We could not have asked for more, except we wished we would have had a couple of more days .

The Boulder Brook is just s short drive to town and only a couple of miles from Rocky Mountain Park. You are so close to everything and yet you seem so far away from everyone. It was very private, but yet if we needed anything, the staff was there to assist.

We stayed in a spa suite and and we could open our door and step out onto the private deck and enjoy the sounds and sites of the running river right next to us. How peaceful and relaxing. We even were able to watch the elks and goats grazing along the property.

Our room was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The bed was so comfortable with the luxury linens and bedding that falling asleep in a strange place was not hard. The cool evenings we would enjoy the fireplace while watching tv. Also having the spa tub was nice to relax in after hiking at the park.

Even though we did not use the outdoor grills or tables, it would have been nice if we wanted to.

I would not hesitate to recommend Boulder Brook to anyone. Its a very nice place and we could not have asked for anything more perfect for our first visit. It was a great place and a beautiful location. We definiate will stay there the next time we visit Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is our fifth year at Boulder Brook, our favorite vacation spot of all. Rooms and service are excellent, and the location draws us back year after year. Situated right on the Fall River, each room with a private deck, we cannot imagine a more restful and pleasant place in which to unwind. Boulder Brook is on Highway 34 - the approach to Rocky Mountain National Park; however, the road is two-lane, and the pleasant sound of Fall River masks the sound of what little road traffic we see. We recommend this fabulous place and plan to continue spending our time here.

My wife and I have stayed here twice, once in a Spa Suite and once in a Standard Suite. Both were absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking very accessible. The scenery unparalleled.

Highpoints:
- Nice thick comforter on the bed.
- Clean kitchen with everything you need.
- Romantic fireplace.
- Location (scenery, scenery, scenery)
- Good selection of DVD/VHS movies and Cable stations if you just want to spend a day in.

This is the ONLY place we will stay in when we visit Estes.

My wife and I stayed at Boulder Brook after reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed! The location is ideal - between Estes Park and the Fall River entrance to the RMNP. We spent hours driving around the park looking at distant Elk, only to return back to our lodge to find them 10ft from our door!! We stayed in the Antler suite which was very well furnished and equipped. The wood-burning fire was great in the evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic 4-night stay and wouldn't hesitate to return to Boulder Brook again.

This is a great place if you just want a place to sleep right next to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was immaculately clean which I loved but the place was older and lacking in some areas.

If you think you will need any type of service, then you might look elsewhere. We actually had to plunge our own toilet when it wouldn't drain right. After calling the office to tell them about it, they asked us to do the plunging for them. Not something I have ever had to do in any condo/hotel/timeshare that we have stayed in.

The condo walls are fairly thin and the floors are squeaky so you can hear when your neighbors rise and go to sleep. The people in the unit next to us were our morning alarm clock. I was thankful we weren't in a downstairs unit.

So if you need a clean place, close to Rocky Mountain National Park, then this place isn't bad especially with their off season deals. I don't think I would pay their premium rates for the same unit.

Dear Ms Texascs,
We have noticed that you had a very low opinion of our property. We hope you find more suitable accomodations in the future.

God Bless your husband.....and you too, of course.

Boulder Brook is a lovely place to stay in Estes, living up to its top rating in Trip Advisor and elsewhere. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit with kitchen which was clean and very nicely decorated. The location is scenic, right on Fall River, close to one of the entrances to RMNP and about a five-minute drive from downtown Estes. I really appreciated the small touches which made our stay very pleasant; the huge selection of free movies, the high quality bathroom products and jacuzzi tub, the very comfy bed, the well-equipped kitchen, the gas fireplace with remote control… these things all contribute to a relaxing stay. All the staff was wonderful to deal with and was very eager to help with anything we needed. Boulder Brook is a high quality establishment, perfect for couples looking to get away and enjoy the majestic beauty of the area.
