“Beautiful house and wonderful mgmt staff”
Reviewed November 11, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This is the 2nd time myself and my extended family have stayed at a Windcliff property. Our experience both times with the Windcliff staff has been outstanding!!!

This is the first time we stayed at the Aspen Leaf Chalet. This is a wonderful property. We had 3 generations that stayed together and the house was big enough for everyone to have space and not feel like we were crowded, but it also has a layout that worked well for the times we wanted to all interact together.

The kitchen was well stocked, so much so we had challenges finding enough cabinet space for our food :) Linens were nice, house was clean and well maintained. Plus you can't get a view that's much better.

If we take another family trip out to Estes Park area, we will definitely have this house at the top of our list.

Liked best: Hard to pick, it was a terrific house
Liked least: Had to be extremely careful pulling into and out of garage due to incline, otherwise bottomed out car

“NICE HOUSE,UNSAFE ROADS”

The property was nice and had all amenities you may need.I can not say the same for the dangers roads to get there,up in the mountains.Because of delated flight, we arrived at night, cold, snow, no address (just the name of the place) 9 adults and 2 little kids.No one was
at the rental office ,just an envelope with the key and several pages of written instructions. We got lost on the way up and had to call an emergency number to get help.Very SCARE situation.
There is NO SECURITY lines or cords besides the roads;I can not understand, why the City of Estes Park or the State of Colorado ignore this dangerous point for tourist. No clue. After a day we got home,we received a notification from the management (Windcliff)that $ 500,- was charged against my Credit Card, without asking or telling us before doing it.

Management Response
Jan 1, 2016
The roads in Windcliff Estates where this property is located are very safe and managed by the POA with a full time staff of 2 persons and a full complement of equipment. However for safety reasons we require all guests to have 4WD or AWD vehicles in winter months. We responded quickly when this guest arrived at 10:30 and could not use the provided map. The $500 charge was for pot smoking in the home which is forbidden in our rental agreement which this guest signed.

“Perfect for a family reunion”
Reviewed December 6, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We could not have picked a worse four day period to stay in Estes Park. The weather was horrible. It was frigid outside, the winds blew continuously at high velocity, it snowed, and visibility was poor. In spite of it all, we had a fantastic time. Aspen Leaf Chalet was everything we could have possibly imagined and more. The radiant heat throughout the house makes every room eminently comfortable, no matter what is happening outside. The rooms are large and well equipped. There were nine of us, and every person, young and old, had plenty of space to engage in games, puzzles, listen to music, watch tv, read, cook, sleep, and converse. The hot tub and master bath were very popular with everyone.
The daily animal sightings and spectacular mountain views made this a very special family reunion for all of us. The owners have clearly put a great deal of time and effort into making sure that everything in this house will meet or exceed every guest's expectation. Highly recommended!

“Perfect!!”
Reviewed September 13, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We lucked out when we decided to rent Aspen Leaf for 5 nights. Our son got married last weekend in Estes Park so our family came out for the wedding. We were able to accommodate everyone perfectly. The home was extremely clean and perfectly appointed. We loved the view and found every time we looked out the huge picture window the scenery changed, each time more beautiful. Looking out at the Continental Divide and the Rockies was such a treat for our family from Chicago.
The drive up the mountain road to the house the first time is scary, but we became more comfortable as the week went on.
The only item it would have been nice to have is a full length mirror. We had a number of women trying to get ready for a wedding and a full length mirror would have been very helpful. That is truly our only complaint, and it is a minor one. We would definitely go back to Aspen Leaf and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!!! We were very sad to leave.
