“Wonderful a second time”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

My husband and I returned to Estes Park and Pardise cabins. It was a wonderful stay and once again fell in love with the area. To have the river under your back porch is amazing. The place is so close to the park, clean, friendly and relaxing.

Room Tip: If you travel with a dog there are a couple of cabins available. The management will provide a baby...

This is truly a dream place. This is the second year in a row that we go for our honeymoon as this place lives up to its name: "Paradise on the River." It is peaceful, quiet, fun and have spectacular views. The sound of the river is soothing. Guests are very well taken care of. It feels like a big happy family.

This is our second year as guests at Paradise on the River, and we already are booked for next year as well. We park our RV here, and this lovely spot is better than ANY we have encountered in our trips across Colorado and the rest of the country. Where so I begin ? This quaint, friendly, spotless and charming resort is right on the river, with views all around. The amazing people who work here are all so friendly and accommodating; every minute of my stay here I feel welcomed. The showers, restroom and laundry room are spotless. The potted flowers are everywhere and lovingly attended. The grounds are spotless as well, and the folks who work here make it all look effortless. This place is perfect !

I have stayed all over in Estes park and this was the best. I will never stay anywhere else. But I forgot the fishing gear. You could fish right over the balcony on to the big Thompson. I took my elderly Mom, so that we would have a nice place to hang out in case she was not capable of walking out and about. It was the perfect choice.

We loved our stay at Paradise on the River. We stayed in one of the pet friendly cabins. It was a great choice. The cabin was very nice and loved the deck over the Big Thompson River. The greatest part of the whole stay was the family of Elk that crossed the river twice. Everyone was so friendly during our stay. We would recommend Paradise RV to anyone.

Could not have found a better more relaxing enjoyable place to spend a week in the Rockies. Our cabin was more than expected; sparkling clean, well stocked and best of all, right on the river! The people who oversee the park are very caring and quick to help with any needs. The views from our porch, and the sounds of the river were spectacular. We will definitely return to this one of a kind special place!

We stayed here in the Elk Crossing cabin from 8/23/13 through 8/30/13. It was amazing! It was very clean and well equipped. Since we flew into Denver we couldn't bring a lot of stuff, so it was nice to have everything we needed right there. Garbage bags, napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap... it was all there. The kitchen is well stocked too. The only thing we didn't have was a pitcher to make juice in, but no big deal. We improvised and used an empty 2 liter soda bottle. Otherwise we didn't need a thing. We really enjoyed the gas grill. The location was perfect for us. Very close to town and Rocky Mountain National Park. Check in was a breeze and the caretakers there are very helpful and nice. Yes, you are packed in tight, the sites are very close together. But with the sound of the rushing Big Thompson River, we never heard anything else. The people we did see were all very nice and pleasant. Mornings on the deck with coffee were beautiful, and evenings by the propane fire pit were very warm and relaxing. Right after we got settled, i heard a noise across the river. Two male Elk were sparring. We watched them carefully and before too long they crossed the river very close to our deck. it was unbelievable!! The cabin is not large, but it worked great for my husband myself, and our 2 kids (19 and 13). They slept on the bunks. I did use the laundry facilities and we checked out the bathrooms in the same building (even though we didn't need them). They were very clean also. I know that we could have stayed somewhere cheaper, and I looked at many options before deciding. But honestly, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in the area. We drove by many other properties and always felt that Paradise was better.
