YMCA of the Rockies

This was the third time we have had our German immersion weekend for high schoolers at the Estes Park YMCA Camp. The facilities are great for the 100 participants because there is a wide range of activities available. The camp staff are always very professional and very willing to help to make sure our weekend retreat goes smoothly. It is simply a great pleasure to stay at this camp.

We were able to stay at the YMCA of the Rockies for a weekend, on short notice due to a cancellation. The spot is popular, so make sure you make your reservations early. Our cabin was spacious, warm, and had all the comforts of home. We were able to sleep 7 adults and 4 kids. The scenery surrounding our cabin was breathtaking! I recommend this spot to everyone!

I have stayed here many times and really like it but I am continuously disappointed in their toiletries. Tiny soaps, no shampoo, no tissues, etc. Bring your own supplies to make it a perfect stay.

Our group of women stayed in one of the 4 bedroom cabins for a weekend get together in the beginning of November. We have bee meeting once o month for close to 10 years, however this was a special 1st event for us. A whole weekend at a cabin in the Yof the Rockies. The cabin was delightful, well furnished, with a workable kitchen for preparing our meals and treats. Enjoying the fire in the stone fire place was one of the best event for all of us. We love to share food when we are together..

The weather happened to be like an Indian summer days: the sunsets were spectaclar. It was a weekend filled with oportunites to enjoy the YMCA grounds and take short walks, an sit on the porch of the cabin while viewing the wildlife and surrounding Rocky Mountain Park snow capped peaks. A scenery inspired ouhs and ahs..
Smiles, laughs and fun filled moments with the gals ensued.. This is a great choice for groups of any age. No need to plan for a suburb weekend---it just happens, whether your group needs to re-energize, re-new,,rebiuld and /or just relax away trom demands of the busy humdrum life in the city.

We stayed in one of the newer two bedroom cabins. They look just like the older ones, just more updated kitchen. The quietness of the surroundings was awesome. Our great nephews enjoyed the sledding. We love not having a TV to compete with family games, laughter and just sitting around the fire and talking. A must stay if you are coming to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

The YMCA of the Rockies has great cabins that are rustic and cozy. There are no TV's to distract you! The house had plenty of games for the family to play and just have fun. The activities we participated in at the "Y" were amazing; broom ball, roller skating, ice skating, swimming, sledding and volleyball are included in the daily rate.

We saw loads of wild life and felt like we were in the middle of it all. The YMCA is located just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and the city of Estes Park. Both really amazing places to play and shop. We even visited the Stanley Hotel while in Estes Park but didn't see Steven King!

We will be going back to the YMCA in the spring this year! It was amazing!
