We love coming to the YMCA of the Rockies. We've been twice now~ once in a lodge room as a couple and once in a cabin over Christmas with our 2 toddlers & extended family. Love it! We're finding more activites each time we go. We're really looking forward to going on a family weekend. Lots for kids to do. We had a great time at the rollerskating rink (complete with 50's, 60's & 70's music!) & we look forward to trying out the indoor swimming pool next time! Just beware that the buffet style dinning is a bit pricey for the quality of the food. We've eaten there for breakfast & dinner and weren't pleased on either occasion. Food was dry/stale & we could not find a single kid friendly thing for our 2 & 4 year olds to eat @ dinner. We won't let this stop us from going again though!! We'll just plan ahead for alternate eating ideas. All in all it's definately a great time for families & a good value in Estes Park!

Our family rented a family vacation home that slept 10 at the YMCA of the Rockies. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful our cabin was. We had plenty of room for everyone and the views were wonderful. We enjoyed a wonderful time playing games, laughing and walking outdoors. The resort staff were friendly and helpful. We had such a great time that we have decided to make this a yearly Thanksgiving tradition.

We stayed in the newer lodge, Longs Peak Lodge. Nice rooms - each lodge has its own "family room" area too in the lobby, where you can gather and there's a double sided fireplace. Most rooms have 2 full beds and a futon mattress to put on the floor for a third sleeper, but no adult would want to be on the futon mattress. Our kids loved it and took turns on the floor mattress. Full bed was a little small for us, but the mattress and bedding were great. Extremely clean and nice finishes like granite in the bathroom. No TV in the lodge or the rooms, though, which was a bummer. Great activities like guided hikes, nature lessons, bingo, all kinds of games and puzzles to check out, ping pong, pool table, indoor swimming, roller skating rink, any activity you can imagine, are available. And you are surrounded by mountain views on every side. Steer clear of the dining hall cafeteria. Overall, an AMAZING place!! Great military family deals too. Ideal place for a family reunion as they have lodges and cabins.

We got away for a relaxing, peaceful, fun-filled girls weekend. Seven close friends, we stayed in Revielle Cabin. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Ate all of our meals there...even had one dinner catered-in by local caterer (celebrating a birthday!) It was awesome! We took several walks in the freshly fallen snow. The views were fantastic. It was peaceful and quiet, except for the rousing craziness of our marathon dominoe games around the dining room table. We highly recommend the YMCA of the Rockies! It is the perfect place to get-away!

This is a perfect family vacation spot. My family of five (kids ages 10-15) and our two dogs stay here at least once a year during the off-season (flexible home school schedule). We appreciate how much freedom we have as we move from activity to activity, happy with the choices, enjoying the views and doing whatever we feel like doing. All the while, we feel like we're part of a well-cared-for, safe community; and at the same time we feel a sense of independent privacy. We will always have great memories of our times here; and I foresee us having fun here with in-laws and grand kids when our kids are older and married.

Our group of nine friends stayed in a cabin with beautiful mountain views from literally every window. The stone fireplace in the living/dining/kitchen great room drew us together and warmed us in this spacious, yet cozy space. The fully equiped kitchen was extremely handy for such a large group and the bedrooms were roomy with comfortable beds. We fell asleep to the sounds of elk bugling and coyotes yipping and howling. The YMCA of the Rockies is surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park, but you don't have to go into the park to hike. Just step outside the door and start walking and you will find a trail to follow, down to the creek, up a mountainside, or amongst the pine trees. My favorite part was the the subdued presence of man and machine and the resulting feeling of peace and closeness to the glorious landscape outside our door.
The YMCA staff made checking in and out extremely fast and easy. When we needed anything, they were friendly and prompt with their help. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are already planning a return trip next year.

We had a great time with the kiddos this weekend at the fall festival. The staff was great and they had lots of great activities that were fun for all of us. The kids had a three day reprieve from whining and fighting and I didn't have to cook. We went downtown for trick-or-treating, and it was the best we'd ever seen. Quick Tip: Ladies, don't forget ALL of your hair care needs and maybe a pillow if you are like me, the "princess and the pea".
