“Fantastic Place for a Group Stay!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Just stayed for two nights at the YMCA of the Rockies with 44 others, mostly high school students on a school trip. We had an excellent experience. The kids were able to gather together for meals in the dining room and play cards and chess games in the great room all while enjoying the fireplace. They were also able to play basketball, swim and rollerskate or just simply go for a walk surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The staff was wonderful and more than helpful, accommadations more then nice, clean and updated. If you are traveling with a group and looking for a place to stay where kids and chaperones can enjoy themselves this is it!! It beats a hotel everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. We will definately be looking forward to staying here again. Thanks YMCA of the Rockies, we enjoyed staying with you!

This is the third time that my wife and I have rented one of the YMCA cabins and we were extremely pleased each time. First off, the facilities, grounds and housing are impeccably maintained. The cabins are very clean and comfortable. All different sorts of activities available
for all ages. Enjoy and have a great time.

Lots of space to walk on this lovely property with scenic views every direction. I stayed in a hotel-style room, and there were two queen beds--comfy and clean, but the reason to go here is for the scenery and walks. The elevation can be a challenge, so allow plenty of time for catching your breath, and keep drinking water! On the weekend in April, I woke to three inches of snow on my car; the day before was in the 50's. Weather can change quickly, so bring layers. Restful, retreat-type setting.

No need to feel claustrophobic in your room. There are plenty of paths to walk the grounds.
The 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. quiet time is very prudent, given the number of families and groups using the facilities. Convenient location to the town of Estes Park, Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Five of us spent a long weekend at the cabins at the YMCA. We had a blast! We requested a cabin with lots of single beds and we got one with 3 bedrooms and each room had a twin bed. It was perfect. The cabin had a wood stove so we brought some up to the cabin with us and had it burning most of the weekend.

The place is fully stocked with lots of pots, pans, bowls, mixer, blender, microwave and WIFI!

The only negative aspect was the cabin allows pets so our clothes had hair all over them - probably from the couch. If you have pets, you won't even notice - but we did.

Besides that - it was a blast!

Room Tip: Ask ahead if your cabin has a wood stove so you can bring wood and not have to buy it there.

Recently there for a wedding. Rooms in the central lodges are a good value and pretty comfortable. Awesome views for the area and easy drive into the park. Only real complaint is that the complimentary breakfast is from 7 to 9, so hard to catch if you want to relax.

This is the second time that my husband and I have rented one of the YMCA cabins and we were extremely pleased both times. First off, the facilities, grounds and housing are impecabbly maintained. The cabins are very clean and comfortable and they allow dogs for a nominal fee. There is hiking available right out your door or you can drive nearby to some other great hiking or the downtown area of Estes. The breakfast buffet is very average but it is also very reasonably priced and convenient. We will be back again for sure!
