“Great Place to Stay in Estes Park”
Reviewed May 14, 2009

We had a wonderful weekend. The condo was right on the river...it was beautiful. It was so nice to open the door and hear the river. With 2 kids, we had plenty of space in the condo. It was very clean and quiet. I can't wait to go again. The perfect place in Estes!

We have stayed at Bugle Pointe several times in the last 7 years and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and quiet. A wonderful retreat to relax and unwind, from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Bugle Pointe will always be our first choice!

The condo (Unit 22) was spacious, clean, and cozy. The gas fireplace immediately warmed up the room. The oversized jetted tub was a perfect way to end the night with the love of my life. The staff were friendly, insightful, and willing to do whatever it took to make the stay a memorable one. You also can't beat a large library of free DVDs to chose from. It was like having a Blockbuster on sight. It was worth every dime spent.

We visit Estes Park every year for my birthday. The only time we've ever been disappointed is when we haven't stayed at Bugle Pointe. The condos are clean and open with plenty of backup linens if necessary. The private hot tub and and overall serenity of the grounds is one of the reasons we come back year after year. Truely a place to see a multitude of wildlife and the fishing is tremendous! The staff is very friendly and always there if any need should arise. Keep up the good work and we will visit every year for the unforeseeable future! Thank you so much.

We have stayed in a variety of condos in the Colorado ski area and this was one of my least liked resort. The condo was nice but the kitchen was small and not as fully equipped as I would have liked. The hot tub did not stay hot so it made it difficult to enjoy on a cold night. The premises were not cleared until after we complained about getting stuck in the snow. There were no shovels in the condos and no one scooped our landing until we called and asked for a shovel so we could do it ourselves. We were traveling with a wedding party and I could not see that there was anyone else on the property except for this group so I don't understand why it was so difficult to make sure the accomodations were made safe for the group that was visiting. This may be a great place in the summer but I am not convinced I would visit again in the winter.

VP-of-Operations, Manager at Bugle Pointe, responded to this review, August 22, 2009
We accept total responsibility for our lack of timely snow removal. One of our maintenance staff was on vacation, so we had only one maintenance person on site. He was clearing the property as quickly as possible, which was magnified by the fact that he had to dig out almost every car on property. We did have many other guests on property besides the wedding guests. The plowing company was behind schedule and did not plow until later in the day.

This huge late-season storm took the whole town by surprise and was one of the largest of the season. Snow was above the tires on the cars! I also was shoveling to try and accommodate the guests as quickly as possible.

Ultimately this should not have affected their visit, which is why we offered them a free night stay (we emailed them after seeing the review). We are hopeful they will allow us to redeem ourselves and show them that we really are a great place in the winter. We even partner with Eldora Ski Resort with savings on lift tickets, so we do consider ourselves a great place to visit in the winter. This was an unusual circumstance that we know will not happen again.

Needing a break from the hubbies and the stress of work, we chose a girls weekend away in Estes Park. We didn't know where to stay but stumbled across the website and were drawn in. This place is a dream! The Office was small but well organized and offered a wide selection of menus from the restaurants around Estes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful suggesting activities and explaining all the amenities offered by facility. The condo itself was quiet, extremely clean, and cozy. We came up from Denver the weekend following the blizzard and the gas log fireplace was to inviting. So nice to be able to able to put on your comfy jammies and feel right at home (away from home); none of that generic feel of a regular hotel or that common room sharing thing you get with a B& B. We snowshoed in the Park, walked the town, stopped in for a few brews and snacks at the brewery (all the while enjoying the hosptality of the town) only to come back to clean towels and a freshly made bed. We'll definitely be back!!
