It is pricey but the food is good and the wait staff is amazing! Wish I could remember our waitresses name. She was so kind and loved the quick service. Made us feel at home after we had a less than desirable experience at the bar downstairs from this place.

We had read reviews on here and were laughing so hard by the responses the manager made to the negative reviews we just had to come check this place out. So glad we did. Service was awesome. Food was delicious, salad, bread, steaks (filet and NY strip) and baked potatoes. We also had a PB oreo dessert - yummy!!! The chef even came out to ask how it was. While we are from the midwest and our steakhouses marinate everything in seasoning first, Orlando's just cooks them with butter (which is clearly states on the menu), but the meat was so good that was all it needed. Thanks for an amazing 15 year anniversary dinner. We'll visit again next time we are in Estes Park.

On a recent visit to Estes Park we were told about this place by another couple that was staying at the same B&B. They said the food was good for a reasonable price. The restaurant parking lot is behind the main street in Estes but easy to find. It is located above The Wheel Bar so yo have to walk through it to get to the restaurant. If you enter from the parking lot side then you can read about what makes The Wheel Bar an important part of Estes Park. The restaurant itself was almost empty but it was a Thursday night and the waitress quickly greated us and asked where we would like to sit. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate. We chose a table by the window so we could look out over the river below. We both ordered the special which was fillet mignon and scallops. The meal included a soup or salad, hot fresh bread, and a side choice of either rice or baked potato. The steak was amazing it wasn't overly seasoned and surprisingly good. The scallops were amazing with a mushroom, wine, and butter sauce! I must say chef Tandy Brown is a five star chef! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a high price chef without the cost!

Great filet and swordfish, great service! You must have reservations - it is a small and intimate place! Our favorite thus far!

We went to Orlando’s on the strength of positive Tripadvisor reviews, but were disappointed. I ordered a rib eye steak, with baked potato and steamed brocolli. My wife ordered filet mignon with shrimp, baked potato and brocolli. We both had dinner salads, which were served with very good home baked bread, so far, so good. However, my steak was not great, it lacked flavour, and was no better than striaght forward roast beef for taste. My wife’s choice fared a little better, but we were both bemused by the slice of pink coloured cinnamon flavour baked apple served with our meat. It was totally irrelevant, and added nothing to the meal, so why, oh why, stick it on the plate?
We’ve eaten far better steaks this trip.

Our steaks are seared only in clarified butter. It seems that we have a population that is used to spices being added to their steaks before cooking. Meat is meat. It comes to us from a hugely reputable cattle ranch. Now, I have to wonder how many hours you spent upset about that apple ring. It is something, even stated on the menu, that has been a staple on the plate since 1972, when Orlando's opened. I really don't think it was necessary to be so troubled over it....it's a garnish, that for our regulars, is just something that has always been there. We're so sorry that it bothered you so much.
