Description: The award winning Wapiti Colorado Pub celebrates and embodies all things Colorado. From the amazing views to the beautiful, if unpredictable, weather. From the glorious foods grown, raised and created here to the amazing range of craft and micro brewed beers and wines. From the wonderful people who call Colorado home to the travelers that come to celebrate Colorado with us. The Wapiti believes that food should made fresh using as many local ingredients as they can. They have a wide range of great food from which to choose. Their menu includes juicy burgers, thick cut steaks, pub style sandwiches, crisp salads, succulent game meats, and so much more. They also have the largest all Colorado beer list in the state.

We've eaten at Wapiti a few times when we have vacationed in Estes Park. It is consistently good.

-Nice atmosphere - feels like a hunting lodge.
-Great burgers and onion rings.
-Great beer selection, with an emphasis on microbrews.
-One of the best kids menus in town. Goes beyond the usual mac 'n cheese and chicken nuggets. My kids LOVED the kids spagetti, which seemed homemade.

Sometimes they offer coupons for a free appetizer in the food magazines available all over town. Watch for those!

Neat atmosphere. Food was great! Onion rings were yummy! Had a good variety of foods to fit everyone's taste.

Ordered an appetizer - baked potato skins. Sounded like it was going to be totally delicious. It was ATROCIOUS! It took forever to get there, and when the server put it down, I was stunned at the presentation. Just a plain ole potato, split into wedges, some cheese haphazardly strewn across it, one tiny chunk of tomato (think it fell off of someone else's place), greasy and mushy. Not baked, but just run through the microwave for a minute would be my guess. This is the 3rd time I've tried Wapiti and been extremely disappointed. Done with them. And the bill was $12 just for that and a cup of coffee. Not a bargain and definitely not a candidate for best food in Estes!

We tried the restaurant after a day of climbing. We started hot, tired and thirsty. Waitress tried to seat us directly in the sun. We requested a table in the shade. This must have irritated her. We sat waiting, without drinks or further acknowledgement by the approx 6 waiters in the area. A waiter came out and asked if we'd been helped. We told him we weren't sure we had a waiter. 1st waitress came back, said there was a shift change, confusion on who was taking the table. Okay, great, grab us some beers and an appetizer! Oh no, she went on to point out the waiter(nice guy, brought my dog water) who was supposed to wait to wait on the table, dropped the ball, and now she was (begrudgingly) going to wait on us. We said the other male waiter would be fine. Then went on to listen to her tell anyone within earshot about how we didn't want her as a waitress, walked by our empty water glasses with a pitcher, etc. After our meal, which was pretty good, she was still talking about us. My son overheard her on the way to the restroom. Give it a rest! We should have just left, but didn't have the energy. Cute place on every corner in this town. Pass this one by.

We own a business up here and have to get take out frequently. Decided to try this place. Yuk. Ordered a steak salad. Dried out leather steak and just lettuce. We looked at their menu before ordering. Lettuce, shredded cheese, olives cucumbers tomatoes and of course delicious steak. When I brought it back to eat just brown lettuce (BROWN LETTUCE REALLY?) and dry leathery steak. I called them and was told they don't put anything on their salads anymore and their menu on their website is outdated. No offer to fix it, nothing. I get asked everyday about good places to eat. WILL NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE. YUK.
