We had our daughters 10th Birthday party here. We made reservations ahead of time and paid for the room. Anyways we had a great view of the Ocean and Light House as we were on the 3rd floor. Anyways the Customer Service was ok. The front desk people can be a little nicer and friendlyer. The managers need to learn to speak English a little better. We went to get extra blankets as there were 6 of us staying in one room and they said we were only allowed 2 extra blankets for the night. Our girls got yelled at for being loud in the pool. Even though their were other kids there as well. So we left and went back to ou room. Just as we walk in the door not even 4 minutes we get a call saying we need to quit being loud because our downstairs neighbors are complaining about the noise and they have been trying to call for the last hour to have us settle down. Anyways we probably won’t be staying there again any time soon and I won’t recommend it to family or friends.

Stayed at the ocean front lodge passing through Northern California. We were looking for an oceanfront hotel, and were pleased to find this location off strip with a great ocean view for a really good price.

The hotel has picnic tables outside which was really wonderful for watching the sunset and waves on the ocean. The location also had a great view of a light house in the distance.

There were a couple of glitches at check in that were resolved quickly. The bed, however, was not comfortable and felt like a really old mattress. I really like the location and the place, hopefully the hotel will invest in comfortable beds and other amenities to lift the quality level a notch.

The final straw was calling within hours of departing for a forgotten pillow and having a hotel pillow arrive instead of our temperpedic. Untrustworthy establishment, No room service, non functioning jetted tub. Paid an additional fee for a room with a view and smoking neighbors in a non smoking room. This view in the picture is what you get for base cost of $125. Per night.

This was a very nice and relaxing choice in Crescent City. We stayed in a suite and loved the size of the room and the Jacuzzi. We will be going back for another visit for sure. Did not try restaurant, but will on next visit.

Room tip: Stay in a suite

Planned an overnight getaway to watch the waves and storm. Attempted to check in on our reservation to the last room in the hotel a bottom floor king suite tucked in a corner behind the laundry room. (Again planned on waves and storm watching not bottom floor below ground level looking at the parking lot) We walked into the room and turned around and left eyes burning from cleaning products possibly bleach and had a sore throat for over an hour. No other rooms available had to call tripadvisor to cancel reservation. While doing so another couple and three children attempted to check into their suite upstairs and they also encountered the same issue and were checking things out and discovered the swimming pool a smaller 3-5 ft one that you could not even see the bottom of. Needless to say the owner hid in the back office and refused to talk to tripadvisor representative making the front desk lady tell them that he had left. Shame on the owner FJ or SJ or whatever his name is for hiding and handling his own disgusting mess. We were to get a refund but the other couple was not ?~?~!! Tripadvisor had to call again the next day as the hotel went ahead and atemped to charge us for the room and was told to call back for the owner in 15 min and when they did owner advise he had to talk to the front desk employee Celeste as she was not on duty. First of all I am sure poor Celeste was fired or dismissed and I pray she was not as she was a "ROCK STAR" small town girl in a tourist town just trying to do her job. If you stay here do not plan on using the swimming pool and call direct confirm you have a 2 floor room with a view of the ocean as the hotel is very dated and for the price any no tell motel along 101 would be better and 1/3 of the price.

Room tip: Call direct to confirm you have a 2 floor room with a view of the ocean not the parking lot or ground floor near or above the laundry room.
