We didn't have any of the noise that previous reviews mentioned even though we were concerned that there were lots of families with children running around the lobby when we checked in. We arrived without a reservation and settled on a King Suite on the 3rd (top) floor room 321 for $139 for one night. The room was at the end of the hallway and had a small balcony with a great view of the Pacific Ocean and the light house. The jacuzzi tub was nice after a day on the road. The room was an awkward shape and the furniture, which included a futon couch, was a weird fit. All in all this property has huge potential based on the location and view. The building seems slapped together and oddly appointed but didn't feel dirty or unsafe. We would stay here again but would hope to see improvement over time. I would request the same room and wouldn't pay more even during peak season unless there were some updates.

We stayed in Crescent City in order to visit the Giant Redwoods of Northern California. We were referred to this place by a friend and it wasn't easy to find as it was off the beaten track and situated on a quiet street by the coast.

Our stay at the lodge was smooth with no disturbances. The most enjoyable aspect of the stay was the spectacular views of the waves breaking onto the rugged coast in the morning. Further we were off the highway and therefore at night it was very easy to sleep.

We will definately be coming back.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a beach view.

We wanted to have Christmas eve with a view and we got it. "Fabulous view," my hubby says. It was awesome to wake up to the crashing ocean and blowing wind outside. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The beds are super comfortable. We loved the sauna, pool and hot tub. The breakfast I mostly ignored-pretty typical gross food, but hey I like yogurt and granola not sausages and waffles.

We love the view as every room looks out over the ocean and the light house. No other hotel in CC could hold a candle to the view from the balcony rooms. We loved having coffee in the rare morning sun and watching the sea life. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very complete with eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles. No animals or smoking allowed. I would have given it a higher rating but there was an odd smell in the room when we arrived. With a little airing of the room, it eventually was gone.

After a long days drive we stopped in Crescent City and checked in to the Oceanfront Lodge without reservations. Our room on the third floor was clean and well appointed, jacuzzi tub included, and priced reasonably. It had a spectacular view of the sunset, but we walked out onto the rocky beach and explored as the sun went down. The views were worth the price of the hotel alone. A few pictures are attached but they pale to seeing the sunset for yourself. The morning breakfast in the ocean view room was class A, the staff were friendly and courteous, great stay overall.

Room Tip: Upper rooms, from the middle of the hotel towards the northwest give the best sunset views.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were modern and clean, and included a fridge and coffee maker. No restaurant on site, but we were directed to an excellent one five minutes' drive away. Great location right next to the ocean and a few blocks away from the main road.

This very nice hotel is located directly on the Pacific Ocean and all rooms have a view. Get a room with a balcony, the view is very impressive, especially at sunset. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every single employee I encountered had a positive attitude, a smile, and a willingness to help. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Everything worked as it should. The breakfast is standard hotel fare, nothing exciting but adequate. There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance of the hotel. I recommend heading to the local Safeway or other store and grabbing some bottled water and snacks to keep in the room fridge. There is a small store in the lobby but the prices are, of course, higher than you would pay at the Safeway. Microwaves are also provided. The Battery Point LIghthouse is within walking distance but is only accessible at low tide. I can't think of anything negative to say. I enjoyed my stay very much, and this is by far the best hotel in the Cresecent City area.

Room Tip: The rooms on the left side of the hotel have a spectacular view of the lighthouse but as far as I ca...
