The road to the lighthouse was washed away some time ago, so it is only accessible during low tide. Volunteers live there a month at a time and conduct tours. The living quarters are still furnished with original pieces and you get a history of past keepers and their families. A 5-6 step ladder and a squeeze thru the hole gets you to the top of the lighthouse. It's tight up there, actually the whole house is small. Tours are done in groups of 6.
Cost is free but donations are requested.

Just a warning to all who are thinking of visiting here...if the tide is high than you won't be able to get to the other side to actually go to the lighthouse and go in. The pathway was washed over by the ocean. We of course were able to just enjoy looking at it and taking pictures. But it would have been fun to actually take a look inside. Also when you go make sure to take a look at the calender on the post there. Some times it will be closed, today it was closed anyway because of change of staff. So even if we could make it to the other side we still would not have been able to go in.

Easy enough to get to where the light house is and park but no access to the light house itself is available. Depending on the tide the road is big passable. But you can still get a good view and photos.

Beautiful location on the ocean opportunity’s to tour the lighthouse are dependent upon the tide and only accessible a few times a month however it’s a great place to visit

We went straight for the beach... Down the spiral staircase and thru the morning glory’s and driftwood, it was as though we were walking into Narnia. The pebble beach was alive with waves rolling back and forth, chasing the kids as they ran along the beach. The lighthouse was a silent and beautiful backdrop to the lively activity on the beach.
