Going to an aquarium was on our list of things to do while on our trip. Ocean World was so awesome. They started us with the performances of Cora the sea lion and 2 harbor seals named Sculley & Wyatt. Then we went inside for the rest. It was absolutely amazing. We learned so much. Held starfish, touched other things. Even got to pet a shark. And look at their eggs they lay. It was a great price and had great things to purchase in the gift shop. Will recommend it to all.

This aquarium is a fully guided tour that lasts about an hour. It takes you onto a real barge that features live sharks, sting rays, fish and sea lions. It's reasonably priced and definitely worth the hour you'll spend there.

Wow. I usually get good results consulting TA but this attraction was a total bummer. My kid was almost in tears seeing how poorly the animals were treated by a couple of boys on our tour. Our tour guide did her best to inform the boys and parents but the parents obviously had no control over their kids. The enclosures/tanks were also sub-par. Very rude staff in the gift shop no so much with the customers but to fellow employees almost to the point of embarrassment. We felt quite uncomfortable watching it.

We took an almost 7 year old and an 8 year old to Ocean World. The price tap for 2 adults and 2 kids was under $40! We had about a 10-minute wait in the extensive gift shop - the girls were tempted! - before our guided tour commenced. Our young guide was knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. Who knew that rock fish get to be 200 years old and are better known to us as fish sticks?! We all enjoyed the hands-on - yes, you are encouraged to touch - tide pools and shark tanks. We got an underwater view of a prey-predator environment, a shark tank and seals and sea lions. The tanks are built into the bottom of a retired glass-bottom boat so the viewing experience feels really authentic. The tour culminates in a seals and sea-lion show that was very well done. We had visited the aquariums in Long Beach and Monterey in the past. it had meant fighting huge crowds. At Ocean World we were part of a group of 12. We were all front and center, could ask questions and get as close as it gets without being in the water. We very much enjoyed the visit and I highly recommend Ocean World as an entertaining and educational activity for all.
