We first moved out to Eastern CT about 20 years ago and caught a couple of plays at the Bradley as a night out. Wow-ed by the talent and quality of the shows, we soon became season subscribers. Over the years, we have seen many shows here--some better than others, but some truly legendary! This is not your standard community theater; it is definitely a step above. Couple that with a beautiful and historic theater of a perfect "intimate" size, comfortable seating, a balcony level, and good views from just about anywhere, it is just a wonderful experience. They have various shows, some aimed at adults, some aimed at children, and some with all-ages appeal. Every year there is a nice Christmas show as well to get you in the spirit of the season. I must say, I have as much fun going to the Bradley as to, say, the Goodspeed, and the Bradley is much cheaper! Its popularity has grown (deservedly!) over the years as well, and it is now wise to get tickets in advance for a particular show you want to see. There is a small concession stand for popcorn and standard (non-alcoholic) refreshments. Be forewarned however, that there can be a long line for the bathroom at intermission, so try to avoid that if you can!
