“Pleasant place to dine”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

In the last week we have had both lunch and dinner at the Cafe Pesto in Kawaihae, a shorty drive form most of the resorts on the Kona/Kohala Coast. The menu offers very tasty pizzas, pastas, and a selection of fresh fish and meat dishes. It is really casual but the service is good and the prices reasonable. I enjoyed the flight of local micro brewery beers that the restaurant offers. there is the choice of three or five small glasses of beers from light lagers to heavy stouts. It is a popular dining spot so reservations are recommended.

“Still Good”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

And now you can avoid waiting by making a reservation on Open Table. Doesn't get more convenient then that. Coconut calamari was very good and so was the dipping sauce. Pizza always a winner. Prices are decent for the area. Service is very friendly and quick.

“great lunch on the way to Kohala Ranch”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Had a very good lunch, to bad its not on the ocean side of the street, but the service and atmosphere were fantastic. The food was very good. The price was reasonable.
Will definitely make it a regular when visiting this side of the island.

“Food very fresh, location ok”
Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

We've been here twice. Kid friendly. Chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie is so delish. Their purple potato salad was also tasty. Food is fresh however the menu is heavy on the gorgonzola. View is zero. This place is off the beaten path in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. Check out the shaved ice place around the corner if you opt out of the cookie.
