“Tasty and surprisingly fun!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

We went to Hamakua Macadamia Nut Factory one of the first days we were in Hawaii, and we had so much fun that we ended up going back again before our vacation was over. Their treats are delicious and creative, and they give you loads of samples to try. We ended up shipping two large flat rate boxes back to Nevada and also filling up an entire carry-on bag of goodies. The mac nut turtles are incredible. The Honey Macs are another favorite of ours. They have little cans of nuts that are great for gift giving, so we brought back several for our neighbors and our kids' teachers. The mac brittles are also yummy and very addictive! There is also a place where you can crack your own nuts, which was something the kids really enjoyed. Besides the treats, we really enjoyed chatting with the lovely women who work there. They were friendly, funny, nice to our kids, and they were full of great advice about what to do during our trip. They made us feel so welcomed.

“Great stop if you are on the north end of the west side”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Great little stop if you are on the north end of the west side already, perhaps on your way to cowboy country or Waikola. Nice little video of the harvesting process and view of the factory process. Best of all, great prices and plenty of free samples of all the flavors of brittle and mac nuts.

“Black Peppah Macadamias! Delicious!”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

We have been coming to this nut factory over the years and their prices are honestly the best we have found yet. Their nut brittles are too good. And the Black Peppah Macs are addictive. Friendly, fair, and so good. You'll be happy you stopped!

“Spam Macadamia Nuts, got to try them”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

This place is worth the trip up the west side of the big island. They have fresh out of the shell nuts. The variety of flavors is surprising. They even have SPAM flavored nuts. You can purchase the nuts in many different flavors and size of of packages. You can watch them process the raw nuts and package them. They will even box them up to be shipped home so you luggage isn't over weight because if you taste them you will buy them. A place worth the stop.
