Yes, we have been here before and continue to be drawn back. The smoothies are great (this trip we tried several). They have lots of beautiful fresh fruits and baked goods (the macadamia nut blondies are super yummy)! The staff is pleasant and welcoming and they have a great view if you want to hang out while you sip your smoothie. We bought most of our fruit here during our stay (mango, papaya & Hawaii bananas)! All wonderful - highly recommend!

We stopped here on the way and had a smoothie (#5). It was so delicious that we immediately bought another one. It is not cheap, but really yummy. We also bought papayas that we had for breakfast the next two days. The owner is really pleasant and the sitting area is lush. All in all we had a real nice experience.

We tried a Lillikoi fruit smoothie and it was soo good! No added sugar, just pure fruit. We bought some fruit here as well, and they were very good over the next two days for breakfast.

Recommended to us, we stopped for a panini and fruit smoothie. The owner was so gracious and welcoming, the food was excellent (good pastrami) and passion fruit. Do stop by for a relaxing and delicious lunch along the highway

While in Hawaii we stopped at the South Kona Fruit Stand. We expected to see the usual - papayas, mangoes, bananas - and those were well represented. But there was so much more. Back here on the east coast we get tropical fruits, but usually without much variety in terms of the types of fruits. If you say "papaya" back here, it is usually a fruit that is not very ripe when it is picked. and is often devoid of flavor. Strawberry papaya? Neve seen it here, but the South Kona Fruit Stand had outstanding strawberry papayas. Be prepared to consume them soon after purchase - they are ripe when sold and absolutely delicious!

That's just one example of the kind of thing one finds at the South Kona Fruit Stand. Another unusual fruit that we encountered was the abiu. It was advertised as tasting like vanilla pudding. I can see the analogy, though it's not exact. But it's close enough and, even better, the fruit is delicious whatever it tastes like.
