“Beware renovation work!”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We stayed at this hotel twice in September. We arrived after a very long flight to find the place in chaos with most of the hotel in the process of being renovated. The breakfast room was out of use and breakfast served in the meeting room. Only one ice machine working in the whole hotel. However, we did go back about a fortnight later. We had to negotiate scaffolding in the lobby, closed staircases and dust everywhere. We didn't leave as we were only booked in for two nights and the trouble of finding somewhere else when we were already tired just seemed too much. If the hotel had informed us of the work before we first arrived we would not have stayed there. There was no reduction in the hotel rate for all the inconvenience (as has been the case in other hotels we have stayed in with less disruption) and we would think twice before using this hotel again.

It's a sleep inn expect what you normally get at a sleep inn except the free coffee and breakfast area until they complete the renovation. checkin went fine, checkout was fine. Area seems a tiny bit unsafe...lock your car.

The room was clean, the service was friendly, and I got a cookie the day I checked-in. The inn is under some renovation, particularly the bottom floor but it did not get in the way of my stay. Compared to other places I have been this place got a positive nod. It is basic but it has all the important essentials and was clean. I also felt safe leaving my vehicle parked outside the establishment. The location is near some helpful businesses such as a Smith grocery store, various food establishments, and a Starbuck's.

Room Tip: If you are put on the second or third floor ask to be in a room away from the elevator as it makes a...

My wife and I stayed here in preparation for an early AM flight. The room was clean and the staff friendly. For an overnight preflight stay it was just fine. The room was a little small, although comfortable, so not my ideal place for long term stays.

Hotel is pretty reasonable. We arrived late in the evening so we decided to stay close to the airport. Clean room, standard amenities and decent breakfast buffet. Check-in and check out process was easy. Would stay here again.

My family has been staying at Sleep Inn about once a month whenever we want to have a getaway from the tiny town we currently live. We love the breakfast there and comfortable rooms. The building is a bit dated. Some rooms have microwave and fridge some rooms don't. Once in a while the sink or toilet clogged and we didn't mind because they had great staff there. Then a couple of months ago they hired a very rude girl who were angry at us for requesting microwave and fridge in our room. If we could avoid her in our future trips, we wouldn't mind to visit this hotel again because we do like it. But after our second encounter with her, we decided to switch to Clarion for now. She is better now but we prefer staff who are more personable and friendly than who are cold and unthoughtful.

Room Tip: Ask for microwave and fridge if you need them when you arrive. Most staff members are friendly and w...

I've stayed here three times and it's definitely survivable. However, I've also stayed at 6-7 hotels near the airport and I would rank this one last in overall room quality. The rooms are small, budget-style, and have only a small, old-style cathode ray tube TV. On the plus side, we had a microwave, fridge, free internet, and the breakfast was good enough. If you're just looking to save money, and want the cheapest hotel in the area, this might be the choice for you.

What kind of ruined our stay is that they overcharged us for parking and, weeks later, cannot manage to get our money back. I've tried calling, calling again, emailing, without much success. First they refunded half the charge (which made no sense). Then they tried to refund the rest, but accidentally made a charge instead of a refund! So we were back to where we started. Then they tried to refund it again, but again only refunded half. Oh my. The staff seem pretty nice, but not so good at math or computers or something.
