The hotel website photos are very accurate. Lobby area is really interesting and has a lot of southwest Native American ambiance, but a little dark. The front desk is like a cave.

Location is near some major roads/highways, making the location convenient to downtown/old town (10 min. drive) and the Sandia Peak Tramway, but noisy. The weather was comfortable enough for us not to need the air conditioner, and the balcony with mountain view was nice, but the road noise appears to be significant no matter what room you select. We used the air conditioner mainly to drown out traffic for sleeping purposes.

Room was immaculate with tasteful, somewhat sparse decor. A stark contrast to such a dramatic main lobby. No microwave or fridge in room, although there was plenty of room for one. T.V. was old tube set, with ok picture, but not a lot of channels. King bed was heavily padded, but too soft/saggy as others have mentioned. No problems with loud music from night club as we did not stay on a Thursday or Saturday night.

Biggest disappointment was that there was no "complimentary breakfast buffet" as advertised on the hotel's website. This can easily be up to a $20 per night additional expense/value for any couple. Fortunately, we got a great bogo website offer. Starbucks next to hotel, as well as several restaurants, stores, etc. Nativo Lodge, Please Change your Website regarding the complimentary Buffet Breakfast! False advertising.

Overall, a decent stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a 'quiet' mountainview room on an upper floor. Only stay here, if you get a good...

Nativo Lodge is a pleasant hotel, a notch above the chain hotels. Breakfast is a rather haphazard affair, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Ask for one with a mountain view. It's a good choice if you have family or business in this part of Albuquerque.

Quick overnight stay (before return flight) booked on Priceline. Front desk was helpful, particularly sending us over to the historic district, about 15 min. away. Everything from t-shirts to portraits. The best thing about the hotel was its lobby. Nice, large and comfortable leather seating in a Native American ambiance. The rooms match the decor and are also large and comfortable, if a little dated. The location was convenient; overall a pleasant stay.

Room 321 had two double beds; mattresses were saggy, overly soft and needed replacing. Problem was compounded by worn-out mattress pad, ill-fitting sheets, and blankets that were too small for one bed--the lumpiest hotel bed I have every slept in! After not sleeping much the first night, called in the morning to get better bedding. Took an hour for housekeeping to arrive, nearly two hours before replacement bedding arrived and things were satisfactorily resolved. The next night was better, however the staff did not extend themselves at all; we had to complain loudly to get any response. Also we ended up having to pay for the "complimentary" breakfast; an hour before breakfast was over they were already out of both orange juice and coffee. No one offered to provide more.

Room Tip: Confirm the free breakfast offer.Check the bed before retiring--if it already seems lumpy, believe m...

Dear Walter C,
I am very sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience with you bedding and our food outlet. I understand that above all a good night's sleep is what is expected as a guest and that is one of our primary goals as a hotel. I am glad to hear that the replacement bedding was satisfactory and I will address the issue of the slow service. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to another opportunity in the future to serve you.

Unique decor and rooms OK. Booked after reviewing their website that listed, among other amenities, "Complimentary buffet breakfast" under Hotel Features and was bummed out when informed in the morning that if we wanted the buffet it would cost $8.95+ tax — bait and switch? or bad management of website? Had read about the Saturday night disco noise but called in advance and were given a room looking out at the mountains — no problem with music from the party, only loud people in the parking area, probably taking a smoke outside of the bar area. Beds ended up being a bit lumpy after a while from ill-fitting sheets, blanket and old mattress protector crumpling up in the middle of a soft mattress; some people will like the very heavy comforter, we did not. Otherwise, room was clean, but nothing as special as I had hoped for from the website description.

Room Tip: Saturday stay, ask for a room that overlooks the mountains and away from the disco party.

A nice property conveniently located and favorably priced. Our rooms were clean (we stayed twice) and adequately furnished. The staff are very friendly and try hard to please but in some instances a little additional training might be helpful. Food service in the hotel did not work for us, but in Albuquerque dining options are almost unlimited. While there we went on a Jeep tour on Diamond Tail ranch (NMJeeptours.com) which was excellent and we have reviewed separately. We would happily return to this property and would take another ranch tour.

Room Tip: Rooms facing east have good views and are protected from I-25 road noise
