I stayed here for a convention. The common areas of the hotel are all very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. But once you go up the elevator it's like you're in a different hotel. The room & hallways look like they haven't been updated in quite some time. The room was clean and still pretty nice, but not worth what you pay for it.

We recently had our Vow Renewals at Hotel Abq and Casa Esencia. We we're treated with such care and detail. Our VIP hostess, Julia, at Casa Esencia was amazing. She ensured that our night was special. We would certainly recommend Hotel Abq. & Casa Esencia to our friends and family.

The hotel is filled with a great newmexican southwest decore. From the lobby to the rooms' Being from Albuquerque it is a great gettway when you need a weekend out. The Staff is very friendly, to mention a few, Monica at Gardunos, Charles from their maintenance, and Elias from the front. All very helpful. Another great part of this hotel is its location . there are plentiful restaurants and museums in the immediate area. With such a great feel and excellent location, this is by far one of the best Hotels in Albuquerque.

Room Tip: Get a Balcony Room

I attended a conference that was based in this hotel, so I was there all day every day for 3 days. I found the hotel to be a little worn around the edges but very clean and well cared for. My room was cleaned faithfully every day and the bathroom, which by the way has heated floors, was immaculate. However, no fridge where a small fridge should be, coffee maker that had problems, which I was able to solve, and no flat screen tv. So, if modern and updated rooms are important to you, this is not your hotel. But, if you can live with some quirks, the location is superb. You can walk to the Old Town Plaza in less than 10 minutes, shop till you drop, eat and walk back to the hotel. Also, from the front desk to the cleaners, everyone is friendly and says hello, very willing to answer questions and help you to find local attractions, so a great atmosphere.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony, because not every room has one.

I have stayed here before and usually do when I come through Albuquerque. It was a very quiet evening for the hotel coming through which was nice because the staff was extra attentive and accomodating. They took the time to talk things over with me and make me feel very welcomed. Kudos to my server Rain at gardunos who provided great service and Elias at the front who made my stay feel very comfortable and warming. Its the staff here that make this place so charming and a gem in the city.
