Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town

We visited this historic hotel August 10 - 12 and took the tour of Old Town. It was fabulous! Our tour guide made the tour fun, and he was very knowledgeable about the history of Albuquerque. I highly recommend this tour.

Room Tip: I recommend the rooms with balconies because there is a extra small sitting room/vanity off the bath...

This is a great hotel stay. The reservation staff made it easy to get a nice room, and check-in was very easy. We opted for a suite, and we were on the 11th floor. The view of the rest of the hotel and Albuquerque was beautiful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely be recommending Hotel Albuquerque to everyone, tourists and locals alike!!

Everything was nice and acceptable but nothing was really spectacular. The facility is beautiful and very historic. The rooms were very nice. The server, Len, at Cafe Plazuela is a real gem and besides great breakfast food is the reason you should eat there. Other staff members were nice enough but none of their service was remarkable or even genuine.

Myself (69yrs old) and my husband(86yrs old) were in town for a convention and was not very happy with our stay. The rooms were not very clean the desk chairs were very uncomfortable(like being poked with sticks). the rooms not decorated well and the hallways had cobwebs in the corners as you get off the elevators. The hallways are dark. Front desk staff was warm and inviting but that was all I enjoyed about this hotel.

Thank you for staying with us. Our guest rooms were designed to portray the southwest culture. This interior design is carried throughout the hotel which distinguishes us from the other hotels in the city. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay and appreciate the feedback. I'm glad to hear that our staff made your stay more enjoyable. We hope you consider us again when your travels bring you back to Albuquerque.

This hotel has a fabulous pool with luxury chairs and lounges. We couldn't believe that there weren't 't more people using it. Later we discovered that most of the clientele were elderly. It didn't matter because it was quiet. The staff were all very helpful and the restaurant had a huge breakfast at a reasonable price. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly. they gave us directions, maps and extra towels, coffee, etc.. For the room. The location was great. It was a very short drive or a reasonable walk to old town where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The only drawback was the air conditioner in the room was loud.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor. The view is wonderful. Only some rooms have balconies.

I didn't stay at this hotel, but I was looking forward to this place for their Happy Hour. First, they really put the "shabby" in chic; the place is very outdated and even appeared to be dirty. There were very few customers, and after only five minutes there, the manager told people they would be closing in about five minutes (at about 9pm). I'm not a guzzler, so I had to search the hotel for a paper cup for my expensive drink. Never got to try any of the Happy Hour specials because of that, either.

Thank you for your reveiw. I do apologize that you were not able to enjoy your drink at QBar. It is not often that we close early however, if there is not much activity taking place in the hotel, we may close the QBar an hour early but the Cantina is open and you'll find our staff there always ready and willing to serve our guests. We hope you stop in to see us again.

Was here for a wedding and we had a fantastic time. The Pool was great and the staff was exceptional. Always friendly and seemed like they all loved their Jobs.

The only think you have to keep in mind is the club located next to the hotel. Noise is not really the issue but you do have some younger folks who can get a little rowdy (but still friendly and respectful).

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony - AC units are loud but can be turned down.
