“Great stay at a great price”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

We've stayed here twice. Our first experience was not great but the second experience was good. We stayed for two nights there. The hotel is right off of Interstate 25. Its a few minutes drive from the Winrock Mall, Costco and other points of interest. The continental breakfast is wonderful, with a variety of foods available. The staff was friendly. The rooms are clean and stocked.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the wifi router. The wifi away from the main building is not great.

This was a wonderful stop over experience. The rooms are updated nicely and we loved the restaurants within walking distance. We plan to stay at the same place whenever we pass thru Albuquerque. Also the staff was extremely delightful.

The front desk was friendly, but not real helpful finding a restaurant. She told us it was within walking distance, however, she forgot to tell us it was at a competitors hotel. We walked around in the freezing cold looking for it.
The room was shabby with cracked tile in the bathroom. Old carpet that looked dirty. Definitely needs a remodel.

We stayed here twice - once on the way to California and once on the way back. On the way to Calif., we needed to use the laundry room. Counter staff was very helpful in showing me where the laundry room was (hidden by the side of the exercise room) and in getting me enough change to run the machines. Getting to the laundry room requires going around the outside of the hotel (if you are in B or C buildings) and entering through the main entrance with the laundry in your arms!
We started asking for handicapped rooms at other hotels after our first stay here because our knees were really hurting from the regular low toilets. All the hotels complied with our request without a problem. Coming home from California we asked this hotel for a handicapped room. We were transferred from one room to another, and not given the king size bed we asked for because "All the handicapped rooms have two queens". The room purported to be handicapped accessible was no different in door widths, turning areas or toilet height than the room we moved from. There were grab bars in the shower in both rooms. The desk clerk that night was not very helpful, and kept insisting that we were in a handicapped room. The fact is, they don't seem to have any rooms that fully meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I was traveling across the country and, in an effort to keep costs low, I was staying in the most inexpensive hotels I could find with positive user evaluations on TripAdvisor. After a couple of nights in hotels I would not choose again, I was very pleased to find this Quality Inn that was easily as nice as some places I have stayed in at twice the price. I see others have made comments about plumbing issues, but I encountered a very nice room with a pleasant and fully functioning bathroom -- maybe some rooms have yet to be updated, but this one was perfect and an incredible value.

Room Tip: Ask if all the rooms are updated -- mine was great, but others appear to be complaining about bad pl...

It was easy to find and in a good location, and the staff was friendly for the most part excepting the night manager, who seriously needs to find a personality, but that's where the positives end.

The first room they gave me hadn't been cleaned and this was 6 pm. The second room they gave me had a toilet that wouldn't stop running so they had to call the maintenance guy to fix it.

This was advertised as a suite which apparently meant that there was a small five foot wall partition separating a couch from the bed, and this wall was ready to fall over.

There was almost no water pressure in the shower which made it very difficult to rinse off soap/shampoo. Also, the towels were adequate for a toddler but not a grown-up. Way too small.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel was substandard and the entire place looked dilapidated and needed a facelift.

As compensation they offered me 1000 points for the comfort loyalty program, which basically means they avoided putting any skin in the deal.

Rotten experience overall.
