Every time I am in ABQ visiting family I stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful and courteous and the rooms are nice, albeit some could use a makeover. The beds are comfortable and sometimes you get a room with a view of the Sandia mountains, which are spectacular. The hotel has a nice bar, which depending on the day can be either packed and social or isolated. There are many good restaurants around the area (I recommend Garduno's Mexican restaurant and Bravo for Italian) as well as shopping malls. Parking is free and plentiful. Excellent access to I-40 heading east to the mountains or west to the mesa and connection to I-25 heading south to White Sands national monument or north to Santa Fe. The pool looks nice as does the workout room, but I have not used them so cannot comment beyond the fact that they exist. The only real downside is that the concierge lounge is closed on the weekends, which I think is when one really needs it to be open (or at least I do). It would be nice if it was open for drinks and snacks all the time. Also, instead of serving the same generic cookies one gets at any Marriott property, the staff should serve biscochitos, the traditional New Mexican cookie. Other than that, its a nice place and one that I will continue to visit.

Room Tip: Request a room facing the Sandia mountains, but if you want to sleep in late make sure to close the...

Stayed here for 1 overnight while driving through ABQ. Very nice to reach the hotel and rest. Easy and free parking. Quick Check In. Room was very nice faced away from the I-40 noise. Plus, the indoor-outdoor pool was welcome after a long day on the road. Plus, PLENTY to do around the area within walking distance. It is NOT Pet friendly which is I like. I've heard too many dogs barking all night long because their owner leaves them alone in the room. This is the only place I stay in ABQ.

Room Tip: East Side has a view of the Mountain.

Got the rooms we wanted after driving 17 hours walked in and the staff was so courteous and genuinely welcoming. The view from the mountain side was sweet from the moment we opened the drapes and they stayed open !!! We will be back !

Room Tip: Ask for the mountain view ! You won't be disappointed.

Spent just one night here while attending a Saturday function at Albuquerque. It was a Friday night and the Concierge Room was closed. You now get a full breakfast in their dining room instead of a Continental Breakfast if you are a Gold or Platinum Rewards Member and the Concierge Room is closed. They serve an excellent breakfast with everything from Omelets to order to pancakes and eggs, sausage etc. Rooms are spotless and beds are very comfortable although the "King" feels more like the size of a "Queen" although I have a California King at home so I guess I'm spoiled. Bathroom was spotless. Check in and Check out is easy with very friendly front desk personnel. We didn't use the pool this time but it is very nice. We have used it in the past. All in all an excellent stay at a first class Marriott full service hotel. We stay at this hotel everytime we are in Albuquerque unless we need to be close to the airport. This hotel is right off i-40 at Louisiana so getting into town in Rush Hour is no problem, especially from the east.

Room Tip: Ask for a hig room facing the mountain.

Right from check in, to the bar staff, the food, the bell boys...everyone that works here gave excellent customer service. Thanks for providing such a pleasant stay everyone, I would recommend this hotel just for the service. A little far from old town for a visit but there is a good shopping and eating complex across the street.

Our stay was everything we have come to expect from Marriott Hotels. The gentleman who handled our check-in (Raymond, I believe) was most courteous and helpful. Likewise, Kiwi, the evening hostess in the Concierge Lounge, was kind and engaging.
Thank you kindly for treating us as an honored guest in your home.

Stayed with my 11 month old and spouse. ALL employees were always friendly and smiling and offered to help. We never seemed crowded as some have mentioned. Beds were comfy. We did enjoy the pool. Its really neat cause it is both indoors & outdoors. It could use a scrubbing for sure. However when they do chose to clean people will then complain that the pool was closed for cleaning. There are more elevators than in most motels but most didnt work. We were there on a busy weekend and had to wait most times for an elevator. There is also a great big Target across the street. Overall very pleased and look forward to returning.
