Loved everything about this hotel. The service was great and the restaurant is amazing! Our room was directly above the bar (which is obviously a pretty "happening" place) and the noise bothered us the first night. We are NOT complainers but we casually mentioned it to the front desk as we left the next morning to go out for the day. When we got back, they had already made arrangements to relocate us to another room, and lowered our rate! Much more than we expected. The rest of our stay was wonderful! This hotel is located in an excellent spot to walk around downtown and on historic "route 66"

Our daughter recently had a wedding reception at the Andaluz. The staff could not have been nicer. The food was fantastic and well presented. The hotel has been renovated and is charming. I liked that they recycled as much as they did. There are some nice restaurants in the area, but the hotel restaurant is top notch.

Stayed here 2 nights after I got married. They gave us a tour of the different rooms about a month prior when we told them we were staying here after our wedding. They were VERY kind upon check-in and let us do early check-in at 2pm so I could get ready in the room with my friends. The Andaluz room has plenty of room! When my new husband and I returned to the Hotel that night they had an Orchestra and tango in the lobby, it was really neat to see! The bed was SO comfy. Although we did here Ibiza from the 7th floor...it was nothing we couldn't sleep through. We didn't once hear any neighbors or hall noise. We will definetly stay here as a little get-away again!

My husband stay at Andaluz for 2 nights and upon check in got the impression that the staff couldn't even be bothered to promote the hotel facilities and I had to ask the questions. The basic room we booked and was literally a shoebox, we were happy to pay for an upgrade and this we an improvement although on a lower floor. The first night we managed to get some sleep with the noisy air system, but on the second night we had to complain in addition to our bed being unmade and the fact that the covers had be pulled over to give the appearance the bed had been made. The location is not within walking distance to anywhere nice and to be honest it appeared a bit seedy. Staying near Nobb Hill would be the better option or someone other than where this hotel is located. To top off our stay the gentleman who checked us out couldn't even muster up enough effort to say goodbye...really who would want to stay here!

We settled on Hotel Andaluz because the staff was so helpful and friendly by phone and online...and rates were very competitive. What a FIND! We stayed 4 nights on the front end of our vacation and then spent our last night there. Best value for the money in years! By far, best hotel we stayed in while visiting northern New Mexico. Location is 3 miles from airport. No noise problems at all. There is valet parking in lot behind hotel, but we parked on the street (free nights and weekends) and had no problems. Walking distance to some great restaurants and Central Avenue. We did see homeless people on the street, not unlike many other cities, but no one bothered us and we walked all over.

Having previously lived in Albuquerque and knowing what downtown was like at night, I made my reservation at the Hotel Andaluz with some concern. As others have noted below, the area has a lot of homeless and other unsavory characters.

My arrival was pleasant. Check in was a bit slow, but friendly. The valet parking ($16/day) was nice, but not terribly well manned - I had to in search of a valet at least twice.

The room was very small, but comfortable - especially the bed. As with so many hotels these days, the bathroom is beyond tiny. One must very nearly enter the bathtub in order to close the door.

One feature I appreciated very much was the free entry to the health club across the street.

I don't know if I'll stay here again in the future, but I'd recommend it to a friend.

Nice hotel that is centrally located. They have a lot of activities during weekends (tango nights on saturday nights) so it can get noisy sometimes so, request a room on the uppermost floors upon check-in. The rooms are clean - and with a toddler around, that is what matters most. I would definitely stay here again.
