“Wonderful bartender!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2014

Jonathan Montoya mixed me the most delicious drinks! He was courteous and attentive the whole night! The Casbah was beautifully decorated and very clean. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Andaluz to friends. Especially the bar.

We were planning a long anticipated trip to New Mexico (my fiance has never been...) when we stumbled upon the Andaluz online. From the moment of our arrival we were charmed by the warm, engaging greetings by the smiling, friendly staff (who are eager to please!)! The hotel itself is a renovated, madeover Hilton (the first in New Mexico) and still retains the original carved wood details in it's cielings and doors as well as original murals depicting early New Mexico Spanish and American settler history. The lobby is spacious, comfortable and colorful and smacks of Spanish/Mexican accents (replete with repeating arch ways). The hotel offers a rooftop bar with views of downtown and distant mountains. We are anticipating staying again in 2015 but, this time for a longer period and we will likely spring for a larger suite ( the rooms are comfortable and well appointed)!

Room Tip: No two rooms are quite the same. Call ahead for details before booking.

We really lucked into this place! The decor is one-of-a-kind & the staff is more than welcoming. We were really surprised with the size & comfort of our room - it was HUGE!!! Also, I have a skin care business/spa & I am always interested in great lotions, etc. that are part of our stays. The products that they had in each room were phenomenal. I would go back & stay in this town again just to stay at this hotel. Great remodel job & great place to experience!!!

Room Tip: Be ready for an extremely excellent experience!!!

Green Features: This place was completely amazing! Wish we would've had time to dine there, too. We heard that the restaurant was great, but didn't find out on our own - gives us an excuse to go back!

The moment i got to Andaluz i was impressed. We pulled up were instantly greeted by the valet personnel. Upon entering the property we were then greeted by the manager Marcus or Mark. He was very accommodating and provided us just the pampering we needed to get our weekend started. Thr product of Andaluz is not great rooms or the scrumptious meals, their product is impeccable customer service. 10/10 would come again.

The hotel is located downtown and is easy to miss, but once you find it you won't want to leave, the beds are comfortable, the rooms clean,
and the ambiance is tranquil, I just loved the casbah style lounging alcoves on the lower level, great for
complimentary morning coffee and news papers, or private dining and drinks, the Tapas are a real treat, the rooftop lounge is also a great place to relax and enjoy drinks, the live entertainment on the weekends was also great ,free daily gym passes for the gym across the street, and there is also a small library on the lower level where you can relax and enjoy complimentary non alcoholic sangria, I would have to say what made our stay enjoyable was the staff, they were so accommodating, they attended to our every need, they were very personable and happy to help, we have stayed at almost every 3 and 4 star hotel in Albuquerque, we have never stayed at the same hotel twice, we will be back to Hotel Andaluz. we would like to thank the entire staff for making our stay so pleasant.

the service at hotel andaluz is what stands apart from all other boutique hotels. the receptionists, misty and others, were very welcoming and kind always servicing our needs. Misty even upgraded our room that we got through groupon! valet parking was included and they had great refreshments - coffee, cucumber water etc. throughout the day. i'd definitely recommend to all - it is a romantic and eclectic historic hotel that is comfortable. i also love how green they were! fresh circulated air. an amazing comfortable bed... not to mention the molton brown body wash/ shampoo line - japanese orange.. ordering on amazon now!!!! i am in love!

Room Tip: ask for an upgrade - room 203 was excellent! large corner suite just up the stairs

We had heard great word of mouth about the hotel and the Tapas restaurant, so, despite living locally, decided to have a Saturday night getaway. What a wonderful treat! The hotel's common areas are filled with beautiful decor, and the more you look the more you see little touches of quality. There's even a library off of the lobby with a good selection of books on architecture, art, local history, etc. The atmosphere and the staff were just very welcoming, giving off a very quietly comfortable feel. It felt to me like it was plucked from the days when great hotels were all unique -- before the rush to standardization took over.

Our room was great! Again, lots of attention to layout and design features - like the beautiful wooded doors -- that really came together beautifully. Our room was quite a bit larger than we expected and completely quiet even though it was right across from the elevator.

After just one night eating and staying here, I feel like we had a vacation somewhere in Spain.
