Traveling from Detroit to Sarasota to Phoenix and back to Detroit, we have had good experiences with Best Western. Leaving Phoenix we did not plan any stays in advance, which we usually do. While driving, we decided to stay in Albuquerque, NM and saw the sign for Best Western Rio Grande which was just up the highway.
It was a little pricier than other Best Westerns at $90 (final price), but it was worth the money.
The hotel is right off the highway (but you don't hear I40) it is somewhat convenient to Old town - but more than a walk. The room was very nice. Bed's were a slice of heaven, best night's sleep we had in awhile.
Nicely decorated and very clean. We didn't use the continental breakfast, but it seemed to be 'as usual'. This hotel has a restaurant. I also think that tour groups use this hotel, which I think is a good sign that Best Western does things right.
We would stay here again.More
